McAfee gets way too much espn related air time alreadyYeah, but McAfee is too much for me.
Corso FOREVEREnd of an era that I don't want to end. Stinks, in his prime he made College Gameday. Sadly, it has become unwatchable for me with that obnoxious big mouth, McAfee.
Funny enough, I was enjoying an alternate to regular ESPN slop for a few months with his crew, Their podcast was pretty good too.McAfee gets way too much espn related air time already
I'm Gen X also and agree with your thoughts about Pat. As far as Lee, personally I wouldn't continue the headgear with anyone else. I think that should be left as part of Lee's legacy.I wonder if they will have someone continue the headgear tradition. Not sure it would work, Corso made that.
As for McAfee, I watched his show a few times. I get why it is popular, especially with the younger generations. I'm not a Boomer (Gen X) but I can only take him in small (very small) quantities. His schtick is obnoxious to me. Stand up on the chair/table, be loud, get the crowd to chant something. Wash, rinse, repeat.
Only person who could do the headgear would be Kirk but I don't think he will and it will be retired.I wonder if they will have someone continue the headgear tradition. Not sure it would work, Corso made that.

One of his best moments:
It's being repeated throughout the next week on ESPNU, such as tomorrow at 6pm. Also on ESPN2 tomorrow morning at 9am.I gotta find that show. I’ll definitely tear up. The best thing in the world, for so many years, a fall Saturday morning and Game Day is on.
No it’s next week. There’s a documentary about him and the role he’s had in college football / game day.Wait they did his last show on week 0? It’s not next week?
