Sorry, that is total bullshit right there! Seriously. Blaming the fans for the failure of the football program is total bullshit on every level.

The fans didn't tell the community to "get a life." The fans didn't hire G-Rob. The fans didn't have an AD in Jake who said.."we aren't in the business of firing people" when we had a head coach and offensive coordinator who were living in the stone ages with their way to run a football team.

Blaming the fans and saying they get what they deserved is total and complete bullshit on every level. As the economy tanked (especially in Syracuse with lots of places closing up) you can't blame some fans for not spending money on SU football when the team was beyond awful for many years and good folks who supported SU for many years were struggling with a bad economy and had a football program go down the toilet on them with nothing but self-inflicted wounds.

It's pretty pathetic that I will travel 2 hours and 45 minutes from Charlotte to Chapel Hill and stay for a triple overtime game and people don't stay for the entire game in the dome when they are winning. I don't blame Lemon for calling out the fans that left early. These are the things that deter recruits from wanting to come play football at SU. Deal with the results.

If you were to rank the BCS level schools based on average (real) attendance, travel to other locations, amount of noise made and fans staying to the end of games, where would we rank? Why would top players and coaches choose us over other BCS schools? Our record clearly represents the degree of support this community has given the program.

Once again, total bullshit. The program sucked and the fans left. It's not like the fans left and stopped supporting a winning program. The program got so terrible that you will lose most casual and non die-hard fans. Especially in a bad economy! If you want to blame the fans for Pasqualoni being stupid. DeLeone being even dumber. The G-Rob era, the Chancelor telling fans to get a life, Jake not raising a dime in his final years and refusing to fire coaches that were failing. go for it. BLAME the fans for that but you are totally lost on this issue.

So if every Joe Blow stays till the final whistle and yells so loud he loses his voice GRob would have been a good coach? LOL, give me a break with this nonsense! It's the fans fault that SU loses football games and can't recruit?! HA! Not the AD who hires/fires coaches, or the coaches themselves, or the actual players.
