Lemon quote on the fans

If you were to rank the BCS level schools based on average (real) attendance, travel to other locations, amount of noise made and fans staying to the end of games, where would we rank? Why would top players and coaches choose us over other BCS schools? Our record clearly represents the degree of support this community has given the program.

You have things totally backwards.

Btw, we'd rank pretty good in the noise department.

Ryan Nassib with the other great quote of the night..."Winning is an unfamiliar feeling"

No, over the last decade, actually longer, we have had the fanbase the university deserves. I wont blame the program because the program doesn't make the idiot decisions that are made.

Scooch asked you as well...what decisions?

You really have to ask what idiot decisions the football program has made in the last decade? Really?

Clearly he has no idea of the trauma and life long scars one gets when their 15 minute commute home becomes 20 minutes.

Yeah, he really should shut his yapper.

He's right.

Hiring GRob aside yes...I am told here thart SU seeks to screw fans...so after looking at pricing and access and those factors clearing not being it, want to know...

Let's go back a little further, Pasqualoni not firing George. Jake not firing them both. Shaw telling fans to kiss off essentially. G-ROB (colossal mistake). No longer holding a recruiting event for Orange Pack members in February cause Doug can't find 30 min in his day to talk to a small group of fans. Starting the spring game early without telling anyone so fans who did go up there missed the first part of it. Holding the first open practice of the year in Rochester and NOT Syracuse for the local fans. Moving big games to NYC. Removing parking lots right on top of the Dome making it more difficult for people to find parking.

Should I keep going?

You ignored the first one I mentioned in this thread?

Please do, because I don't see any issues. The big games is a plural, and so far a myth. Some schools will play us in NYC but not on campus...SU can either not play them or a lesser opponent.

Nobody ever replied to a post a couple months ago about "these" teams playing on other campuses. Why not SU?

And while theft are larger issues than the ones Stern pointed out, why poor poor those? It's small time football when you take things cumulatively.

I looked back...didn't see anything that stood out.

Honesty question...outside this myth about moving games outside of unnamed schools, what is it? I see a conference upgrade and all sorts of giveaways so far.

If you don't see issues you are lost on this issue. Totally lost.

Ticket prices are dirt cheap, unless you compare them to high school prices.

Oh you mean those sections where they are dirt cheap and cater to the casual fan and so nothing to build a fan base? The ones that are just a couple section over from seats that cost hundreds or thousands of dollars? Why do they need to sell such cheap tixs? Where did the 15000 season tixs go and why did they go?

What teams currently playing where?

We got a massive, program saving upgrade with the ACC. Inside looking out for as long as we live. We are the anti Fishy, anti Pudge, anti RU Al.

It's been documented a billion times what schools get to go to SU. Risk / reward for many ain't worth the effort. Those schools potentially could be NY / NJ bound if the AD sees fit. Don't see how the local guy gets hosed on that.

Then don't buy them, the view barely changes.

They have a bad pricing plan, but at the end of the day it still favors the fans because the cheapies aint selling out.

You can search the schedules this time. I listed a number of very good to great programs that were playing OOC on other campuses. Stop with the facade that nobody would come here.

The payday / risk reward are what they are. Tennesse an UM were a long, long time ago. If schools like that knoe they can triple their payout in NJ, wouldn't they? 10 dollar seasons in a 49K place bandbox ain't sellling, so thank God for the ACC.

I didn't see a Hooper quote there, what am I looking for?

The fans also didn't decide to take away any credit for long time donors to the benefit of the johnny come lately one or two year wonders. Along with a number of other brilliant decisions.
