I believe you that it was not directed. It was just you responding to my message that is why I said what I did. I want to flush it and want to see improvements, but I am from Missouri as it pertains to Scott Shafer and his ability to get a real college offense developed. I need to see it to believe it.My comment wasn't directed at you. It was directed at the past 15 pages of this thread that is arguing nothing, essentially.
Flush last season, everyone. Just flush it. We had crippling injuries and major coaching changes. I'm not optimistic for 2015, but not because of last season, rather because I've watched 15 years of largely mediocre (if not awful) SU football. But Hunt's a senior, Shafer has faith in his new OC, and people seem to think we have skill position talent. So we'll see.
But as I said a thousand posts ago, I think making judgements from some off season gobbledygook that Lester told the newspaper is a fool's errand. Most football caches can't articulate much of anything well. P couldn't talk his way out of a paper bag sometimes and he did just fine for a long time.
I'm not saying don't discuss this. But no one can win this debate. Not now.
By no means I am trying to win the argument because this season will determine the future. I hope my worries are wrong, but that doesn't mean what I have said can't be valid. I don't make debates to win them I give my opinion and then respond to what else is said.
