AD needs to up his snaps. I’d lock in him, Bryant, and Tremble at LB and limit substitution unless guys are gassed. I’d rather have Tremble on the field than a 5th DB in base defense.

Same with the secondary. Samuel and Peal should play every snap they can and hope Grant is good to go.

DL - The only option to at least break even on the line is Jobity at DE Tank and Rooks at DT. I understand you need to rotate on the DL, but I’m not sure wholesale hockey line changes work with this group.

OL, need the 5 most physical guys. I don’t know who they are but they need to start getting some push. If one of them is Byron, give him a chance.

Agreed but ERob hasn't shown that he's going to change his ways.

Agree on defense. I think we sub too much at DL and LB. I realize it’s more situational based on packages but don’t love that at DL and LB. understand guys will get tired but we need to let guys get in a rhythm and then ride the hot hands.

I’m curious what will happen at OL. I think Byron still needs to lose a little more weight to be able to play every down. But he’s getting there. And I loved how he physically mauled his opponents. We need some linemen who can knock defenses on the ground. Byron seems to have that and I’ve heard folks are really high on his potential. Hopefully he’s playing more.

Any word on Hahn? The coaches seem very high on him.

I think that they ARE.

But against UConn, I saw him on the sidelines in a uniform, and possibly a boot / scooter.

No idea what the extent of his "lower body injury" is, but he probably isn't a short term answer. I think he could be the LT of the future. Glad we have him and Mack -- we saw how quickly things went south without a legit LT once Mack got dinged up.

If Mack is out do they more Spoon back to LT? You would think you would want your most experienced T at LT if the starter is out.
Any thoughts on them using a two back set until the line situation gets resolved.
Have a lead blocker and always having a guy back to block and give Angeli more time may help the offense. Use te or Simmons as a te/fb. Not sure about Smions but the other could come out of the back field for dump off passes when necessary.

The only way to build depth is to play it and hope the learn and get better.

I am sure they tighten the rotation as needed but you still need to play the 2-3s unless you manage 3-out all game.

That's one option I've wondered about. Spoon [who is not ideal at LT but at least has a year of experience there] to LT with Pringle maybe to RT? Or does Cruz kick out to RT to work Washington in at RG?

Depth / options are good.

But I just want Mack back.

I am a glass-half-full guy, and I can certainly be wrong, but Pringle looks a tick slow to me out on the edge. I see him shifting inside in the coming year(s), unless he can increase that foot speed. There are no league rules that state you cannot have a 6-foot-8 IOL.

Yea, same. Mack is really good. I doubt we see him anytime soon based on the scooter.

Hawn at least didn't have the scooter that Mack had. Then again, of the youngsters, I was only really expecting Byron to play as a true freshman. I know what Fran has said about him but it's a high bar for a true frosh to play on the line.
