How to Use 105 Scholarships

Remember that you’re always go8ng to have 15-20 freshmen coming in who will be on development plans their first year and not expected to play regularly. That thins the herd considerably.
I don’t see the point in development anymore. Those kids won’t stay long enough to reap the rewards. And you are paying them to not play.

If they aren’t good enough to crack the two deep, we probably shouldn’t even offer. Let someone else develop them.

I think you still need to bring in 20 to 25 HS recruits each season. Why? You need younger guys for development, to provide low cost depth, and to run the scout team. Developing freshman generally won't leave bercause they haven't established a value yet. If a younger player develops and takes the field, then you can decide to pay him.
