The only reason that Wilson has the job is that Kimble failed, Long isn't close to ready, and Edouard disappeared. To say that he wasn't in the staff's plans earlier this year is being kind. He was the 5th guy in a four man rotation.

Broyld doesn't drop that first pass to him and Hunt hits Estime on what looked like a hitch and go on the sideline and he's 16-28 for 280 and at least one TD.

It was the first game where he was asked to get the ball up field more. Did he miss on some lower percentage passes, sure, but he also hit some and made some excellent throws that were dropped.

Have to say I was very happy when Wilson went 7/8 for a TD drive after Hunt was thrown out of the Nova game. After that drive, I thought he might be our best QB right now and the ceiling for the season was raised. Unfortunately, he looked pretty poor after that. Have to go with Hunt for now.

One thing I would like to emphasize, our receivers would look much better if a good passer was throwing the ball to them.

The great Ryan Nassib was worse than that game against Maryland a quarter of the time.

That is ignoring Hunts 156 yards on the ground. Nassib's rushing yardage for those 3 years was 137

Nah, Hunt's the best option, unfortunately. Why we can't find a QB that develops is beyond me. And by develop I mean before they are a 5th year senior. You can't build a program on 5th year senior QB's having good years especially if you have to suffer through them playing for 2 years before then. I have not been a Hunt supporter (as starting QB) and still am not. But he is definitely the best option. As others said Wilson can't run...a lick. I was shocked when I saw that in the Nova game. I think those that are still saying Hunt will get better as a passer are a little too optimistic. He could get better and still not be an adequate passing QB. At least he is an adequate runner most of the time and on the goal line he is above average. Do I wish there was a better option? Sure. I don't see it though. But if ever there was a 5th year senior QB that started for 2 years that should look over his shoulder next year it may be Hunt. Luckily for him, and unfortunately for the program, there doesn't look like much competition for him right now.

If we didn't have 3 drops on well thrown balls on the opening drive, a horrific "punt protection", and a brutally bad holding call on Hunt's TD run we would've been tied @ 24 at half time and likely won the game despite the pick 6. Just saying...

Zach Allen is 5th string or something at TCU. He probably will never play a snap in his career. What makes you think he could play here?

TCU is worlds ahead of us as a program. Allen would not only be starting here, he would be excelling. He is 100 times the footbal player that Hunt will ever be.

Yes, on the drops and punt protection but the the holding call was correct. Foy never released. They are going to call that when it happens right in front of them, which it did.

He made 4 bad passes the whole day. Sure we would expect our starting qb to make those throws, but he made 4 bad throws the entire game. If it wasn't for him we get beat by 4 td's.
