Poll up, who are you hoping now is the next HC?

Note: Had to use other due to only being able to use 4 choices.

Fleck, Montgomery, Sanford. Ash only in a DC/AHC role...

I also like Jeff Brohm a bit, need to learn more about him.

Fleck and Sanford, I think, are non-starters at this point.

Montgomery seems realistic. Ash is still the leader in the clubhouse with Frost off the board.

I'm going with Babers but would be fine with Fleck, Montgomery, Sanford, Riley or someone similar. I think it is time we tried a non-meathead OC type. Run, run, pass, punt has had more than a fair chance. Time to join the 21st century.

I think the board needs to relax. If public opinion ruled the day, we would be a S&(^show. Let Coyle do his job and see what happens. The name of the coach is irrelevant...its the results. You cant judge a coaching decision the day of hire, just like you cannot judge a draft the same day...its results...

Montgomery
Fleck
Sanford
Babers
Ash
Brohm
Baldwin

In that order.

In what effin' world does Ash leave OHIO STATE for a lateral move to be a DC here?

Because he is Co-DC at OSU? Pay raise? I don't know but I don't want him as HC.

Fleck, Babers and then Montgomery. I want a head coach and am not in the mood for grooming. To fire Shafer and then bring in a head coach that needs to be groomed is suicide for the program, Time for Syracuse to pony up and pay a head coach that can take us to the next level. IF, we must groom look at Ash and Sanford but to me this is a step off a cliff for the program as a legit FBS school. How many times can you expect the fans to sit and wait.

Montgomery is too big of a risk, IMO. Yes, he's from Baylor -- but why take a first year head coach [and a guy who went 6-6 to boot] when you can get the same offense from a guy with a proven track record as a successful head coach at two different schools [Babers]?

Go for it, Coyle.

My Top 5 is still alive!

1. Dino Babers
2. Lincoln Riley
3. Jeff Brohm (sounds unlikely)
4. Philip Montgomery
5. Bobby Wilder

LET'S GO!!!!

Pretty certain Riley already said no.

So you are saying we should just shut the board down?

I really don't care at this point. Just hire somebody, so we can start the pro/anti wars on here, we can get all amped up on the coach speak, in the spring and fall we will hear from the players about how the systems are much improved from the previous regime, then we can settle in and watch 3 years of 3-4 win seasons roll out. Then discuss who should be the next coach, with a slew of great candidates that we won't hire or who don't want to come here.

Then repeat the above.

My recent life as a Cuse football fan.

Your list = My list
Edit: Hoping SU hires from Top 4 (least excited about Wilder). No meat-heads! (Ie Ash)
