We've been to 3 bowls in the last 6 years, Frost would've lived in the Sheraton, dude was a short termer.

You can make the case why target a guy like that, but no loss.

Honestly I'll still prefer a Golden type. We need more talent.
I agree, I will also add Idon't understand how people on this board have such strong opinions about coaches they know little about. I watch a ton of college football and I could not come close to telling you who would succeed and who wouldn't. I read on one of the Oregon websites that Duck fans were upset with Frost play calling this past season. You never know who is going to make it.

I am not making myself clear. I don't care that we lost out on Frost. Two weeks ago, I didn't know who he was. I am upset because it appears we wanted him and he chose UCF over us. That bothers me.
That's why you've got to hang your hat on the "Coyle wouldn't budge on the buyout terms" talking point. I sincerely hope that is the case.

Not a thing but I don't know how well him talking about Jesus and organizing team prayers would go over in NY. Maybe it would, Urban Meyer seems to be doing fine in Ohio.

We could use all the higher being help we can get! I remember players back in the Marrone days organized a team prayer in the end zone in front of my seats.

You do realize we play in a Dome, right?

I'd consider Fritz if I were BC or Pitt.
It never ceases to amaze me the lengths people will go to in order to talk themselves out of a good thing. You seriously worry he can't adapt to playing indoors out of the elements? He has completely changed offensive schemes to fit talent and got immediate results. Adjusting to a dome is nothing. How do you explain his wins in the Kibbie Dome and Georgia Dome?

If we somehow get Mark Richt can we make Jesus is our Recruiting Coordinator bumper stickers?

Frost to UCF is a smart move. Easier conference to navigate, great recruiting territory, solid place to build his resume. I'm tired of rolling the dice on first timers anyway, need to get someone with some HC experience and successful program building at a high level. I'm a little disappointed in Coyle if his focus has been on OC/DC candidates, unless that's how far the program has fallen.
They will almost certainly hire an OC or DC. To me, that's a given. As for UCF... it's a huge state school in a good climate. I bet they paid him a lot more than SU can/will offer. We also don't know what real conversations have been had. Maybe SU was not as hot about Frost as the swirling rumors say.

Whoever the best recruiter is who runs a go go offense.

Al Golden just got fired for going 17-18 in ACC play, in the weaker division WITH BETTER ATHLETES. Why do you think he would succeed here? Im scratching my head here.

He would recruit well here, Miami isn't the U anymore and he walked into a bad spot.

500 in conference play and a 3-1 OOC would get a lot of joy in these parts.

I think we can all safely cross Sanford and Riley off any lists. More than likely Fleck, too.

Montgomery, Babers, and Ash are clearly all still in play. I think Brohm is a longshot.
Why no Sanford? Virginia?

for the love of god, why must the giants fans spend our entire lives talking about defensive northeast recruiters

would it kill people to just try what a million other successful teams do

will it really be so bad to score a lot and win even though it means we might have to rethink the importance of ogres with hyperhydrosis?

I wouldn't be against Golden however I want to know more about what happened at the U that caused them to can him mid season. I know 58-0, but did the players quit on him? Did he make Shaferesque clock management decisions? They seemed to play better after he left which leads me to think he lost the locker room.

I say let's get crazy and move Baldwin up to 2nd.

LOL, now you're picking on sweat hogs ;-)

I would have to think we can afford him. He may want to stay on the West coast but what other jobs are open over there other than Cal?

The offense is exciting but being an FCS guy it's not like he has name recognition or even been in the living room with the types of athletes we need to be competitive.

Minus Syracuse clock management skills which must be some Orange football curse this year they're successful with a system and stability.

My preference is Babers since he has more head coaching experience that Montgomery. I've said all along that I wanted someone with head coaching experience with an offensive background so if they meet those requirements, I won't complain.

any sabres fan knows all about hyperhydrosis thanks to brian campbell's awful commercial
Well, since I'm a Ranger fan...I've never seen the commercial. Funny nonetheless.
