Lettr to the Editor: SU displayed poor sportsmanship vs. WVU

Umm, we lost in professionalism, graciousness and class? Ok so lets go over WVU and Cuse...Cuse has one of the most well respected coaches in the game in terms of hardwork and being straight as an arrow in terms of behavior and class, WVU hires a drunk who gets thrown out of casinos and has gotten stopped numerous times for potentially being under the influence... Also, i know after we won the NC in bball did we go stampeding around and actually showed some life on the SU campus but WVU burns couches after almost ever game (win or lose)...so class? professionalism and graciousness...get a life and stop sending ridiculous letters to the editors

Anyone thats been to a game in Morgantown have any experiences to contridict that persons view of their superior "professionalism, grace, and class"?

I mean we all saw the LSU game shirts making fun of Katrina, and heard about the LSU fans getting beat on after having stuff thrown at their car.

Sticks and stones (and batteries)...

Time he packed up and went back to West Virginia. We have enough of our own whiney bitc*** in Syracuse. We sure as hell don't need ones from W Virginia moving here.Frigging cry baby.Whatever.

Mr. Koresko, what you have just said is one of the most insanely idiotic things I have ever heard. At no point in your rambling, incoherent response were you even close to anything that could be considered a rational thought. Everyone in this room is now dumber for having listened to it. I award you no points, and may God have mercy on your soul.

LMAO!!!! well done.though the movie is escaping me at this time.

This guy must've hated the full hey song with " 'em up 'em up go SU, we're gonna kick the outta you". He also must hate the "Big " before every basketball game...

He should probably pipe down.

three words.....k political correctness...this is college...it is fun...it is whatever flys at the time...just ask Cal at KY

Wow. Hopefully SU will patrol the stands so such ungracious behavior can be thwarted in the future.

Suddenly, I was no longer embarrassed by the poor performance by the Mountaineers, but mortified by the poor sportsmanship exhibited by Syracuse fans.

No, I'm guessing it was really the poor performance by the Mountaineers.

He would have loved our student section in the 90's... or the basketball student section in '03, who started the hey chant as it is today. You're welcome.

We don't need any more season ticket holders who want to sit on their hands and tell people to sit down and not yell so much. It's actually a good thing they don't want to get season tix for he and his wife, his son, daughter, uncle, aunt, niece, nephew, father and mother, which is only 4 tickets anyway.couchburn

Did anyone throw trash cans or hit a pregnant woman? Really, that letter has to be a joke, right?

Guy sounds like a child, seems the only proper response would be "sticks and stones will break my bones but words will never hurt me".

Wonder if he's ever been to another stadium, ever. It's called a road game and its all in good fun (with the exceptions of some idiots).

Couldn't cry over losing those couple season ticket holders either as they are the type that probably tell everyone to sit down and be quiet.

I love how WV fans hate that they are portrayed as dumb hicks, but when they had gameday there vs LSU have the signs made fun of WV as being a bunch of dumb hicks.

If only they could have heard the rest of the hey song.

making fun of self is far different than being made fun of

I can't believe he brought out the word "mortified". That word should be used only to describe a few instances in ones entire life.

Yet this individual was mortified because Otto the Orange was playing a fake banjo, and WV fans were seen on the big screen! Oh my god, so mortifying!! How will this individual move on from the atrocities that occurred??

Related story...I was at the SuperDome for the Saturday Final Four in 2003. I was sitting directly across from Texas Fans. When the Hey Song was played the old TX Money sitting in the stands were aghast at that cheer. Then they really loved it when we started chanting, "You Can't Stop Him" when Melo was going off on them. Must of made for a long ride home to A-Town in their Escalades and King Ranch Pickups.

what a douche, I would much rather have a lifeless, sit on your hands type crowd with 25,000 in there... geeze. The dome was great Friday...

They would have really liked the stuff said by the original Manley Zoo in the late 60's-early 70's. Today's stuff is minor league by comparison. And I mean A-league minor league, not even AAA.

I think the letter writer should be "mortified" that they don't have a better use of their time than to write a letter that is concealing what is really bothering them; that they got their butts kicked by SU.

Sour grapes. The author is just pissed the Neers crapped the bed, and needs someone to take it out on.
A classic example of the pot calling the kettle black.

Nope. Can't have it both ways. Either it is offensive or it is not. You can't take pride in being a dumb hick and then get mad when people call you a dumb hick.

Pfft. He lives in Oswego. What do you expect?
