Liberty

They are still winning this game. This team is very very good and Freeze will be gone soon

The thing that pisses me off for both of these teams is that they won’t get the public validation for how good they both are.

I know scheduling’s an issue - but it would be nice to see both of them matched up against some bigger name opponents.

These 2 teams should have been matched up against Texas, OK St, Miami or Iowa the next couple days. It's really inexcusable this year when fans in the stands doesnt matter. The big boys run from these teams in the regular season, should not allow that in the bowls. Missed opportunity by the NCAA this year.

South Carolina down 5 with 5 minutes left fails to take a third down penalty call against Liberty that woul pus h them back to an iffy line of scrimmage for a fg if they do not convert 3rd and 25 plus. Instead Liberty kicks a much easier fg to go up by 8.
Gutsy or Supid?

That was what a bowl game used to be: 11-0 vs. 9-1. Not 6-6 vs. 7-5. An exciting back and forth game with a wild ending. It was fun switching back and forth between that and the Dolphins vs. the Raiders, which was decided in the last 16 seconds.

Still the "We want you to score...we don't want to score" sequence was low comedy and ridiculous. As Bees said, just take a knee. Watching a ball carrier get pulled toward the goal line by the defense while trying not to score, only to have a teammate try to push him forward and wind up on his back, causing the fumble was an exercise in absurdity. i agree with the announcers that it symbolized 2020. I think he probably fumbled in the end zone since his feet seemed to be on the goal line when the tight end climbed up over him and forced him forward, at which point he fumbled.

The pro game had a bad play, too. the Raiders had kicked a field goal with 16 second left to take a 25-22 lead. After a touchback, a blown coverage resulted in a 34 yard game with a 15 yard penalty for roughing the passer, (they grabbed his facemask!), put the ball on the Raider's 26, setting up the game winning field goal.

how was that PI call ignored..
I watched probably 20 total minutes of this game flipping to it from the nfl game. Liberty got the benefit of a bunch of calls/no calls. One should be pass interference in the end zone. One missed holding on a touchdown run. That pass interference in overtime. All were blatant. There were others too

They are already at Notre Dames level.

Fun game. I wonder if such a W against a powerhouse in Coastal C, if that will elevate them to Top 10 status. Which, if I recall correctly, was practically assured they'd be at year's end after beating VPI. :)

I also have no idea how a redshirt frosh QB at CC, can look as if he not only knows the playbook, but can actually be productive at such greenhorn status. :)
