First off i am glad in one sense cause no way did Clemson outplay us other than our LB play. We were terrible at linebacker. Yes Guthrie made a few plays, but we were reading plays all wrong, miss stepping almost ever play, and we couldn’t come down hill unless we were blitzing. We need backers bad. Really bad. Not even in a good stance at beginning of play. Killing me. Now in pregame if u said we lose bye 3 I am extatic but we beat them en most phases. Having to have our deep safety and our strong safety making plays to save us is BS. Look, if these two start next week we can be in trouble. Our secondary looked really good and our dline I thought played tough. We need recruits bad at mlb. I mean bad.

In fairness, we need recruits and development in several spots - RB, WR, and LB. Great effort today - offense did not do enough in second half, but credit to Clemson defense and rushing attack.

They played hard but don’t have the knack for what to do and where to read. People saw other stuff and I saw that. Lack of clear talent there.

Eh, I don’t think they were as bad as you think. Guthrie and Whitner each had 11 tackles. Last year when we beat them, Bennett led the team with 9. Franklin had 4.
