On CBS radio. One thing that was mentioned is that recruiting has gotten way to complex for most of these sites to deal with.. now you have to evaluate all the college kids and the portal kids and do it multiple times.

This has led to bigger staffs on these sites with more people who are not really good at it and even the PFF has the same crunch for numbers.

If evaluating kids was so easy schools wouldnt make so many mistakes and now you have tons of eye balls trying to come up with numbers that make no sense.

Even the NFL cant get it right with all the money they throw at it.

The age old metric, they can never evaluate what's between the ears, how quickly a player can make the right decisions, and how he will react in fast moving high stress pressure situations particularly, when matched up against equal or better talent.

yeah. look at lower HS levels.. Its often the most physical kids that that survive even getting to the field. As it goes up the more other things actually matter

From what he said the corporate world of recruiting sites is a bad place to be?

Mike Farrell? LOL. Shouldn’t he still be trying to get Melo to go to Maryland?
Capt. BJ Hunnicutt on M*A*S*H and played a doctor on the drama "Providence" in the late 90s, early 2000s.

Likable actor and guy. Not the CBS guy though.

I wasn't commenting on his content. Just how that world has changed with the volume of kids that now need to be reviewed.

The 5 star system is so outdated, why have amateur non coaches evaluated talent when you already have the information on what level team offered a scholarship to what player. If the top programs offer give them so many points, if a lower level programs offers give them less points and so on and so on.
There are probably 6-7 levels of programs, add up their top 15 offers, there is you point level for that player, add up all the players. Do a 10 star system instead of 5 star based on the professional evaluation (offers) by coaches in the know.
