Not sure when they revamped the menu but have been several times since they reopened, most recently last Fall.Have you been since they revamped the menu?
Yes.Off the 690, near the Fairgrounds?
Agree, all three of these sound promising. I am especially excited about D Parker. Not sure Syracuse has ever had a true top notch steakhouse that what it sounds like the owners have planned.Things are looking up in Armory Square! Three new restaurant/bar openings announced in the past week. All three coming from folks that already own other establishments locally.
Local restaurateurs opening downtown Syracuse steakhouse ... with parking
D. Parker Steak & Seafood expected to open by the end of the year.www.syracuse.com
Classic bistro-style restaurant to open in downtown Syracuse
Staff includes veterans of popular CNY restaurantswww.syracuse.com
Owner of Syracuse’s most famous burger to open bar in Armory Square
And the bar is paying homage to an iconic local barroom sandwich.www.syracuse.com

I have been pining for a place like this for a long time.
The owner of prime is a complete richard. eph that place.Daniella's and Prime are both good, but this seems a level above that. The closest is probably TS Steakhouse.
All good stuff! Now we just need the guy taking over the Blue Tusk spot to move his asz!! They are about 1.5 years past when the initial opening date was supposed to be. Such an eyesore having the best bar location on Walton Street covered in tarp.Things are looking up in Armory Square! Three new restaurant/bar openings announced in the past week. What’s going in the old Blue Tusk? All good stuff! Now we just need the guy taking over the Blue Tusk spot to move his asz!! They are about 1.5 years past when the initial opening date was supposed to be. Such an eyesore having the best bar location on Walton Street covered in tarp.
Supposedly another bar that maybe also specializes in bread or something like that? As long as I can drink outside in that spot next summer I am happy. What’s going in the old Blue Tusk?
The entire chain, or the one in Syracuse? The owner of prime is a complete richard. eph that place.
The one in Syracuse. Long story, but it’s not a chain…I believe he closed the one in Rochester. The entire chain, or the one in Syracuse?
Ah, OK. There's a Prime Steakhouse where I live in FL, and I assumed it was a chain. My bad.The one in Syracuse. Long story, but it’s not a chain…I believe he closed the one in Rochester.
One more new restaurant that just opened this week:
Got a chance to attend one of the soft open nights. It's solid. The space has never looked better.
It looks amazing. I also always loved the way The Mission looked. It’s an attractive space to start with.
Finally made it to Eden and it was fantastic. Will go back.Eden's better, but A Mano is never less than a very good experience.
Eden is superlative. If it weren't for Saint Urban, Eden would be the runaway choice for best restaurant in the city and is still probably top five in the county.

We ate there a couple of weeks ago. Scallops and duck were fantastic. Chris & Cheryl do a great job!I enjoyed Elderberry Pond outside of Skaneateles. I’ve eaten at the restaurant on a farm two times now, and both times the food was fresh and tasty, the staff great, and the pastry chef rocked (not too sweet and yet delicious).
The restaurant is in large part farm-to-table but there are also seafood options on the menu. Being farm-to-table the place is seasonal and does close down for part of the year. I’ve heard that despite the annual closures the staff always return which tells me it is probably a great place to work. I’m definitely going back for more.
Me, my Dad and my son had dinner there after the SU/Army game last fall. The restaurant smelled like a mop bucket, and the food was just terrible. Which surprised me, because everyone else I've talked to seems to absolutely love that place.Had a very good meal at Grotto in North Syracuse on route 11. Good choices on the menu, and was nicely priced.
