Looking Ahead 2026: Antoine Deslauriers

Almost feels like he is a DE/DT playing LB. Too small for line and a step slow to cover people. Hopefully another yr of conditioning improves him a bit. Probably needed a yr but forced to play all the time on our D,

Maybe I haven't seen him enough or just a bad evaluator of talent. Early in the season I thought he was very capable in coverage and a big upgrade compared to some recent lb's. My understanding is that he was playing dinged up through some of the season...no idea if that was the reason. I am not ready to label him a weakness in coverage until I see further evidence.

He a true Mike. Shouldn’t be out on island with a slot. Do we know techniques that new lb coach Dc will teach

Back in the early 80's coach Mac would have him playing in between Pendock and Green on the line.

Honestly I see him as a true Mike. He shouldn’t be covering too often. Some but not a ton. He is why we didn’t push for other lb at toledo
