Looking forward to Matthew Stafford's wife

I repeat myself. Most likely outcome even if the pi is called, Detroit kicks a field goal, Cowboys score a touchdown with little time on the clock and win the game 24 to 23. The way I see it, the non call pi is a moot point and does not change the outcome of the game.

Reality.

You don't know what would have happened after that PI.

Cowboys were destined to win. Besides we will never know what would have happened so I am sticking to my story.

every time i have to hammer the report of an opposing expert, the first thing i go after is "most likely". are you denying that an unlikely outcome could have possible existed?

I think the Lions would have gone down and scored a TD and then the cowgirls would have fumbled the KO return leading to another Lions TD and it would have been a blow out. That call reversal cost the Lions 14 points.

It was Pass interference but before that, he grapped the shirt. So okay, defensive holding. There is no explanation for that. That play has been pass interference all year. And Dez has to be flagged for running on the field.

I disagree but fair enough. Mike p agrees w you.

No, I am just having a little fun. In all seriousness, this is not the first game pro or otherwise where we have had a questionable call which might have affected the outcome of the game. On the other hand, the Boys made the plays when they had to in order to win the game. Like the first down on 4th and six from the 45 yard line or the completion in the end zone on third and seven or stopping Detroit on their final drive.

To me it was a very exciting game to watch regardless of the non call and very satisfying if you were pulling for the Boys which I was.

Don't forget Caldwell's bonehead punt that had the Lions fan version of Milhouse committing hari kari

Lions are a bunch of scumbags, they deserve to lose just because of that.

Playing for a FG is a lot different than playing for a TD. Totally different play calling. Not a moot point at all.

A lot of Giants sour grapes as I am concerned. Jerry is entitled to spend his money any way he sees fit.
Sorry not a Giants fan, try again.

except that detroit would have been down 1 pt not 4 at the end. needing a fg would have changed what they did and also how dallas defends the field.

I honestly wasn't rooting for either team, but that was a terrible moment for the NFL If the ref hadn't thrown the flag, or they head official had simply let the call stand (holding or PI, whichever), nobody would be talking about it today. Instead, the officials are now part of the game story, rather than allowing the players to decide the outcome on the field.

I agree. I was having a little fun with the many Boys haters on the board. Hell, I had no idea what would have happened if the pi was called, but I knew it would not be good for my team. I don't have a problem being a big Homer when it comes to the Orange, the Yankees and the Boys in that order.

there are 17 weeks of football during the regular season...you will see that exact situation dozens of times throughout the year...99 out of 100 times, it's a flag on the defender (unless that defender plays for Robert Kraft of course)...picking up the flag is an issue in itself because the guy closest to the play threw the flag for a reason...what makes this thing worse is that they waited until AFTER the announcement was made to decide to pick up the flag

If the flag was never thrown, nobody would be talking about that play. In fact almost all of the tweets I saw before they picked up the flag were something like "LET THEM PLAY!!!".

Picking up the flag was ridiculous, but the play was borderline PI at best. I would rather see it not called than called. But like I said, once its called (by the head ref, not just flag thrown) you gotta let it stand.

Nobody is talking about the penalty on Terance Williams when he was pushed into the defender. If it wasn't called, Dalllas would have had a first down. Do you know why nobody is talking about it? Because the Cowboys continued playing football after a bad call and scored. Also, there was a Detroit player running into the punter. He wasn't called and is was clearly a penalty. Do you know why nobody is talking about it? Because the Cowboys continued playing football and won the game.

Detroit had plenty of opportunities to move on from that play and secure the game. They did not do that. It is a shame that there was controversy, but it isn't like that was the last play of the game on a Hail Mary that would have decided the game.

Dez Bryant literally ran from off the field to on the field without his helmet on after that pass interference call was made (that was later inexplicably reversed). Please explain how that isn't unsportsmanlike conduct? When a player is ON the field and he takes his helmet off, it's a penalty.

I agree with what your saying 100%, but technically a player can take his helmet off on the field. Flag him for unsportsmanlike conduct, ok that's fair.

The "helmet rule" is this...If you take your helmet off in the middle of a play, its a penalty. if you take your helmet off to showboat/trash talk/taunt its a penalty. If a player on the field just takes his helmet off inbetween plays it isn't an automatic penalty.

But to your bigger point they could have flagged him for just a blanket unsportsmanlike conduct and that would have been fair and within the rules.

hey Detroit, whether you got hosed or not...don't punt 10 yds, don't allow Dallas to march down the field and score, and how about blocking for Stafford on your last drive. The best team won.

Lol. Do you know the difference between running into the kicker, and roughing the kicker? Do you also know that when the kicking team's player pushes the defender into the kicker, it isn't a penalty?

Guess not.

I know the difference. Watch the play again. I saw something different.

Detroit... 3 turnovers... 9 penalties... Not going for it on 4th and 1... Stanford 0-16 on the road against teams with a winning record... Not stopping Dallas on 2 forth down plays...

The better team won.

A lot of Giants sour grapes as I am concerned. Jerry is entitled to spend his money any way he sees fit.

He also spent $325 million of Arlington taxpayer money to build Jerry World.

this couldnt be more wrong. Detroit was far and away the best team yesterday. This isnt even a debate honestly.

Both plays looked the same to me. Either they were both "running into the kicker" or neither should have been called.

now that wouldve ruled.

pick up the flag based on 'just letting them play'...then slam 15yds on Dez.

i wouldve paid to see that.
