Looks like the Bills and Texans watched Syracuse last night

Manuel a serviceable back-up - nothing more. Misses open guys. Not a playmaker. No confidence in this guy. Could cost Marrone his job.

Yup hard to disagree at this point. He has the accuracy of a brown bess musket. The team went 7 straight possessions without scoring on a Texans D that isnt that great outside of Watt. Probably time to give Orton a look.

I'm not even mad about that non-call. EJ deserved to lose this game, deserves to be benched and if not, deserves to get his HC fired. He had no business making that throw, What was he seeing on that play that made it seem like a good decision? Oh, right, I forgot, he only sees half the field and has accuracy issues to go with his awesome trait of being the most tentative QB in history.

Buffalo is now 2-2, staring down the barrel of the season spiraling down the drain with Detroit and NE coming up. Marrone's job is on life support and while I really liked him, I have zero respect for his unwarranted loyalty to a QB who's not ready when the rest of the team is good enough to at least be 3-1 and a formidable opposition to take these next tough games.

Yep. If he's to stubborn to pull the plug on EJ he deserves the boot.

Marrone does know that benching EJ doesn't mean cutting him, right? EJ is not ready to be an NFL QB right now. This defense is probably beyond sick of him and our WRs, as reported by Jeremy White of WGR, aren't exactly thrilled with EJ either.

An average QB gets this team a great chance at the playoffs. Orton is that, EJ may be that one day, but not now.

Don't know if Orton is the answer but FWIW he is the highest paid back-up QB in the league. Bills have an above average WR corps. Let's see what he's got.

Nassib > Manuel

Start the countdown clock on Doug's days in Buffalo. New owner will give him the year but the way this season is going Doug can start packing now. New owner, New era, new GM and Head Coach coming!

You've been saying this for quite awhile as if the Bills sucking just makes your day. Just curious - are you not a Bills fan, a Bills fan that wants to clean house or just really excited to potentially be right about something on a message board?

Nope. I am not a fan of Doug. Can't wait for him to get fired

Marrone is being a little ridiculous in his "i never once thought about putting in Orton" philosophy. Not sure i want a head coach who is cool going to war with the worst starting QB in the NFL every week.

ej and geno are neck and neck for worst qb in the league

So Buddy Nix is recorded as saying "it's a bad year to need a qb" right before they pick a guy who everyone said was a massive reach. And it turns out he actually does stink. Go figure. Hard to believe this is going badly.

Both teams are probably playoff contenders with just average QB play too. That is the part that is so frustrating. Neither team needs an elite QB talent to make a run, just average would do.

Well yah. Average QBs are valuable assets. That's why the Andy Daltons & Alex Smiths get paid.

It wouldn't be that big a deal if they didn't choose to spend three drafts on 1 qb
