So this means that a replay of the game won't ever be shown at a later time on the ACCN? That's crazy. As Bees poster earlier ... ESPN owns the rights, but it also owns and runs the ACCN. It owns and operates ACCNx as well. ESPN knew about the ACCN .. why not just insert a term in its contract with Liberty that the game will be aired on ACCN/x instead of making existing ESPN/ACCN subscribers pay another $5/month? Maybe the Liberty-SU deal was inked before the ACCN contracts ... but it sure smells like a ponzi scheme. Is this going to happen with every non-conference game, or can ESPN (or the ACC, or SU) just say ... if we play you the game has to be available on the ACCN?
Not sure, but i doubt it. My concern was that ESPN could fix this whole, confusing mess ... by bundling ESPN+ with the ACCN. It'll be over soon ... as this (I think) might be the only game where we need ESPN+ so those of us who don't see the value or don't want yet another monthly cost can just cancel the service. So this means that a replay of the game won't ever be shown at a later time on the ACCN? yes last year all SU games were on Watch ESPN if not carried by other non pay stations like local spectrum.
correct on fb...but when basketball starts non ACC games..well who covers. you can bet it will be ESPN plus and time to pay for those games to get ESPN plus
