The OP said we could have three more losses. But we don’t.But we didn’t. Because we’re slow.
Gotta recruit better players.

We can’t stop anyone who wants to score, yes it’s as simple as getting an inbounds pass but the problem is, we need to make an inbound pass. We can’t stop anyone and can’t make simple plays and haven’t all year to put us into position to win.Not really a fair argument…..We could easily have 4 more wins. Wake, Miami, Virginia and VCU.
Team stinks but if we just got an inbound pass we win. Same argument about teams not pressuring us.
Right? Not like it was a fluke one time thing. Same weaknesses killing us over and over. It’s not “unlucky”. We just don’t have the horses to do things we take for granted in most years. We can’t stop anyone who wants to score, yes it’s as simple as getting an inbounds pass but the problem is, we need to make an inbound pass. We can’t stop anyone and can’t make simple plays and haven’t all year to put us into position to win.
I’m not refuting any of that. I agree. We can’t stop anyone who wants to score, yes it’s as simple as getting an inbounds pass but the problem is, we need to make an inbound pass. We can’t stop anyone and can’t make simple plays and haven’t all year to put us into position to win.
Inbounding to the corner. It just doesn’t get better than that. And, I believe it was one coach’s son to another coach’s son!!!Hell… I had my postgame thread queued up ready to celebrate the win that puts us back on track for over 0.500. Then we inbounded the ball to the corner and the awful angles on replay made it clear it wasn’t being overturned. So I deleted the thread.
Not to mention, Wake Forest had just stepped out of bounds. Honestly that was a gift.Inbounding to the corner. It just doesn’t get better than that. And, I believe it was one coach’s son to another coach’s son!!!
He had GREAT inbounds plays. Not that long ago we'd free a guy up on a wheel to go deep and finish it.
Now...
I would have liked to see Benny sprint outWho has the foot speed or finishing talent?
With us, it would be like a Hail Mary where you only send your fullback long.
Coaching is magnified in close games in a season of mediocrity, especially so when the roster limitations are vast. But we need in game decision making (coaching) to be superb considering everything else. What makes me sad is to see schools like Providence and Seton Hall in the top 25, while we slip under .500 playing in a mediocre-at-best conference.
I’ve always said that there’s no magic as to why SU became an elite program while schools like Providence and Seton Hall weren’t. It was because of investment in the program and how the head coach recruits/coaches in-game. We still have the former, but the latter has been lacking for a few years now.
Like what? Firing him? I can’t imagine a scenario where Wildhack does anything during the season except pressure JB toward retirement at the end of the season. I would hope it would be more than just ‘pressure.’ He should basically say, “This is it. We will accept your resignation (as the only possible course of action) and we will honor and celebrate you in just about any way you choose, and we can even spin it as having been your plan all along, but this will be it.”When pitt beats us Tuesday. Does Wildhack do something?
LOL...too much to drink. I think that is going to be a common problem with this team this year!15 games to go. Looking at these last 15 in 5 game segments. Let’s take a look:
Pitt x 2
FSU
Clemson
Duke
Wake
NC State
Louisville
BC
VT
BC
ND
Duke
UNC
Miami
I think we can go 11-4 to finish the year. This team really is right there.
I liked that Benny got a lot of run. I do not wish to see JB3 at the 5 anymore though.
I may have had too much to drink today.
Yeah, Benny or Symir are the guys who could possibly make the move and catch, but I don’t count on Symir to finish, or either of them to make FTs if fouled on the catch.I would have liked to see Benny sprint out
He should have been in for Jimmy there. Have Buddy take the ball out.Yeah, Benny or Symir are the guys who could possibly make the move and catch, but I don’t count on Symir to finish, or either of them to make FTs if fouled on the catch.
You need an athlete to do that who can grab the ball. Did you notice the pass out front that should have been an easy steal for Buddy but he can’t get anything in traffic. He had GREAT inbounds plays. Not that long ago we'd free a guy up on a wheel to go deep and finish it.

At least move the stack line back about fifteen feet to have some room to cut.We won’t win more than we lose in any of those groupings.
Looking at those numbers is why we will have trouble beating Pitt or BC.View attachment 212561
Dead Last in ACC, 318/350 in Div I team D.
At least they have us at 8-8.View attachment 212561

He’s also a numbskull for wearing a vest on top of a pullover. Not to mention, wakes coach is a numbskull for never putting any pressure on us. Insanity
