Loss is on the O line

One of the reasons why it seemed that AJ was running for his life all day (besides the porous OL) was because we utilized a number of designed roll-out plays to help neutralize the up-field push of the NCSt DL and overcome AJ's height issues. I liked this adjustment by Lester.
Wider splits would help next year. Roll outs shrunk the field too much

Hard to say. Getting the ball out on time prevents sacks. Going through progressions faster prevents sacks. AJ didn't escape but a couple of times and he fumble once trying. Wilson knows the offense better and has a better arm. Season is gone now they should try everybody.

See that is backwards to me. With the season basically over its time to make it even more of a youth movement. You do everything you can to get the young guys whose RSs have been burned on the field. Get them PT and experience because they aren't going to get those bowl practices (in all liklihood) to help them develop. You don't going burning shirts at this point, but guys like Parris Bennett who have been more or less limited to specials need to get some defense run once we are officially out of bowl contention.

We definitely used designed rollouts, which was a great adjustment. But how many times was he sacked? How many times was he hit? I don't know the numbers but it was a crapton. Also with a freshman QB throwing 45 times, not dropping back 45 times, actually throwing the ball 45 times, how many dropbacks did he have? I'm not sure, but a true freshman QB will make some mistakes in that scenario, and that's exactly what we got.
