KJ completely boofed on corralling the ball which would have ended the game. You have to make that play, particularly as a senior and a supposed leader.

The camera angle from ESPN didnt' really show how that happened. You could see Baye and KJ and a Mountaineer coming into close proximity and then, boom, whistle, and it was over. It's part of the maddening tendency of ESPN to use crazy camera angles during play. At times they utilize a court level shot from behind the basket when the teams are at the other end of the court. Oftentimes the camera shot is such that you don't even get a look at the play. And yesterday viewers missed multiple plays to close out the 1st half including Scoops 3 to end it.

I can understand the technical difficulties but for cripe sake stop those horrid camera angles that are off the play.

Browne ran him over with no call. Doesn't make up for a missed goaltend call...but just another data point that the officials yesterday sucked from the opening tip to the final horn.

He didn't boof anything. He pretty much got tackled by the WVU guy.

Who knows how that plays out though. There was 6+ seconds left on the clock, if KJ makes only one of the FT's, (can't recall if we were in the double bonus or still 1 & 1) WVA still would've had plenty of time to get off a 3 to tie...

You work for espn?

I wish. :) Just trying to keep some perspective that even had KJ controlled the ball there, it wasn't the end, but hey, I'm a lifelong Cleveland fan. :bang:
Yeah, j/k. Looked to me that the refs decided to swallow their whistles down the stretch no matter what happened.

First off it's a bad play by Keita to try to pass off to KJ who has a defender all over him. Keita just panicked and wanted to get rid of the ball. But the WVU guy ran right into KJ. Could have been called for a foul sending KJ to the line. So the refs absolutely blew that one too.

Can you imagine if that had been called following the missed goal tending call? It would made front page news in the New York Times, above the fold. Then a congressional investigation.
