Optics -- we were just coming off of the Bernie Fine situation, which immediately followed the Sandusky scandal, and JB was extremely defiant. So the NCAA was determined not to let us get off unscathed.

Also, we self-disclosed and cooperated. That was a hard lesson to learn, but you NEVER cooperate. You fight the NCAA tooth and nail from the beginning.

Arizona was charged with FIVE Level 1 violations. The courts said they had to release the NCAA report. Arizona had refused since last October. They are in deep dudu.

The crazy thing is there’s not a word in this NOA about Miller allegedly paying Deandre Ayton, his handlers or parents six figures $$$ out of his own pockets, as Book suggested on one of the wiretaps. If the NCAA could prove that more substantially, Miller would never coach in CBB again. As it is, there’s no show cause penalty for him in there right now, which is hugely disappointing. I hope more evidence comes out about him paying recruits directly.

There is probably some truth in this. LSU should just create fake classes for it's athletes so it leaves the wheelhouse.
