Hey at least Herbstreit likes us. Of all the great things Fran Brown did this year, that might be the most stunning one!
Which brings up an interesting question of what the score would have been had we not played everybody with a pulse.
Lots of really bad angles and horrible tackling. Good to get them some game experience. Being a believer that McCord is not coming back, I think the defense needs to ramp up their game.
I admit that I don't understand what we are running. I see 3 linemen with their hands in the ground, a LB? standing on the line, who may or may not rush, two linebackers and 5 dbs. Am I seeing this wrong?
Seems to me everybody beats us with slants, hitches and seams.
I really don't like this defense but realize I have to give GRob time to get his players here so I will just have to suck it up for awhile while reserving my right to complain and make stupid irrational complaints.
Fox had Grant starting too.I was gonna post the same thing. Annoying AF to hear the announcers go on and on and on about WSU players missing. Yea, they had guys out, but so did we and they never mentioned it. Our defense was gutted with 8 guys who were either starters or rotation players out. I don’t think some of our own fans realized that seeing some of the comments about the defense.
Diggs, Perry, Simmons, Bellamy, Barnes, Buxton, Grant, Gould all out. 3 DL and 5 DB/S. It made a difference.
Was Cal still in it too?The announcers were killing me last night with how much they were supporting Wazzu. Yes over 30 players transferred but only like 3 weren’t playing.
When they were down 3 scores the announcer made a comment to the effect of “Washington State still hanging in there.”
I don’t care. Ten wins is all that matters!I noticed that too and was highly annoyed. And of course certain Cuse "fans" on social media are already belittling our win and saying we beat a "high school team".
To be fair, you can’t beat the pricesAnd Gus Johnson had us partying afterwards at a restaurant that no longer exists.
Throw in Inghram and Jobity tooI was gonna post the same thing. Annoying AF to hear the announcers go on and on and on about WSU players missing. And you don’t need a reservation! To be fair, you can’t beat the prices

Our secondary was decimated last night. Guys were playing who did not see action all year. All told, they did well, only gave up 3 TDs, the final TD was garbage time and we gave up the blocked punt TD. As usual, the national broadcasters failed to do their homework.Washington St lost their HC, OC and DC and 30 players portaled including star QB and would they even field a team?
Cuse had everyone save for a few portal guys.
It allows the lazy sports fan to chime in with uniformed H0T Takes...look at the Rutgirls' board
Our defense was mostly 2nd and 3rd stringers last night...nary a mention by the FOX crew (who missed a lot of informative points). Washington St had more players available than portrayed. Their QB was a finalist for the FCS version of the Heisman and gave Mateer a hard challenge. The Cougs were stronger than the media let on. BTW, hats off to the Interim HC, he did a great job.
Rumor is he is heading to be DC at Wake.

speaking of that, do we move up from #21?Nobody's going to remember anything other than 10 wins and ending the season in the Top 25.

I would think so.speaking of that, do we move up from #21?
That's not a narrative that's a doctoral dissertationThe narrative should have been:
Washington State is going to be decimated by the portal, but they're a band of brothers mostly playing together one final time, for each other. But no Mateer, so the big question is how good this QB actually is. If he's good, they can give Cuse a game. If not, they'll struggle.
Meanwhile, Syracuse isn't losing much to the portal but the portal guys won't be playing... AND in a testament to their toughness and love for each other and Fran, a bunch of guys were playing through a lot of pain in the regular season and will be shut down now. So major question marks on defense, where 8 important players are missing and freshman will get a lot of action. But they've got Kyle McCord who's going for an ACC record. Is it his swan song or will he be back next year?
But Gus Johnson is too special for prep work, so...
It's 30 seconds, it's a scene setter in the broadcast booth.That's not a narrative that's a doctoral dissertation
I even forgot about Diggs, Perry and Simmons out on the DL. We got Tank back but we were real thin there too.Our secondary was decimated last night. Guys were playing who did not see action all year. All told, they did well, only gave up 3 TDs, the final TD was garbage time and we gave up the blocked punt TD. As usual, the national broadcasters failed to do their homework.
This is so spot onThe narrative should have been:

Portions are terrible though. You don’t get any food.To be fair, you can’t beat the prices
