The announcers were killing me last night with how much they were supporting Wazzu. Yes over 30 players transferred but only like 3 weren’t playing.

When they were down 3 scores the announcer made a comment to the effect of “Washington State still hanging in there.”

I didn't feel that at all. They heaped tons of praise on SU.

Happy to see Tank was back playing.

I thought our run defense was much improved with him out there. Tank Watson and Perry gives us some beef up front. We need more depth but I feel good there. We desperately need a LB portal infusion. And probably a better tackling safety…

From what I hear online, the acc might be worse than the Mac. Now I haven’t researched really hard, but… the ACC has won only won 3/11 national titles. I am sure the Mac and the big 12 have won more than that sadly

Yeah this is why Gus drives me nuts. As a WAER guy who took a shot at PxP and was good enough but didn't catch the right breaks or have the right connections, I can live with the guys who got to go network right out of school because of nepotism because they do put in the work and do a great job. But Gus? He has his whole shtick, which is the opposite of what the job is supposed to be, AND he does virtually no prep.

I guarantee you there are three or four kids at WAER right now and another 10-15 that graduated the last few years and another 20-30 of us in our 30s who nobody has ever really heard of who could call a better Holiday Bowl than Gus with 12 hours of notice.

Our defense was mostly 2nd and 3rd stringers last night...nary a mention by the FOX crew (who missed a lot of informative points). Washington St had more players available than portrayed. Their QB was a finalist for the FCS version of the Heisman and gave Mateer a hard challenge. The Cougs were stronger than the media let on. BTW, hats off to the Interim HC, he did a great job.

Rumor is he is heading to be DC at Wake.

Well there’s your first problem - paying any attention to what the dumbest fanbase in college football thinks.

I’ll be happy when we’re stringing together top 25 seasons while they’re a complete afterthought again. We’re almost there.

we played nine freshman on defense in the first half and I believe four maybe five started.

David O, Kerr, Watson, McDaniels or Long started.

I believe Those 5+ KJE, Lesaine, Heard, and Brown all got a lot of first half snaps.

We were missing six or seven starters/regulars on defense. Diggs, Buxton Bellamy, Perry, Simmons, Grant

Jobity as well.

While I think Jackson Holzer is doing a far better job than his predecessors at Locked On Syracuse he made a huge mistake when discussing QBs in the portal. When talking about Rickie Collins he dissed Shrader, which is a no no in our household. Moreover he never mentioned Garrett played injured most games. Mrs Crusty put him in the penalty box. It will be a long time for this to wear off.

Note he just signed with the BC Lions. We are now fans.
