Yes I do, but both those teams have the rosters to POTENTIALLY win the ACC. Do URI and WAKE?You do realize that Auburn barely scrapped out a win against Ville who isn't even a top 5 ACC team right?
If you ain't first, you're last Ricky!either you win or lose, never heard of a thing called " moral victory" when I played.
So many here want to see a forfeit from what I can tell.
Not to mention they should have lost to Jax State! Nobody really knows yet just how good are the good teams and who isn't really very good. There are always surprises in September. Not so much in November. You do realize that Auburn barely scrapped out a win against Ville who isn't even a top 5 ACC team right?
That's fine... HCSS was great as DCSS, I loved him and his D... I'm still not sold on HCSS because I think he's overly conservative. Having said that he's gotten much better this year. Now let's see his team actually show up on Saturday and keep it interesting for 4 quarters. If you give Marrone credit, you're giving DCSS credit too .
I would be tickled if we won, sure. We might have been able to make it a game with Dungey and all our offensive personnel healthy.No. I think deep down everyone here wants to win this game Saturday. Never say never. This is more, at least from me, if things go badly what I hope happens.
that's a pretty high bar for a true freshman - LSU's OL is really good - but I'm sure you know thatMy moral victory is that Steven measures up favorably with LSU's OL.
we were as "hard nosed"as we could be. forget hard nosed, i believe we have a future, that begins now. am i looking for a win? maybe? am i looking for out of the box coaching---even in a loss ? i am looking for risk and playing to the future. we need to move from there.Unfortunately HCSS's hard nosed teams have proven that when it comes to big games against superior talent they are definitively not hard nosed and the game is usually over by the end of the 1st quarter. I'd say a moral victory would be keeping the game interesting past lunch time in the central time zone but I'm not holding my breath. Good thing there are leaves to rake.
I'll give Marrone credit here... he was typically able to keep games close no matter what the talent disparity was. HCSS hasn't figured that part out yet.. probably because he's an inferior x's and o's coach to Marrone and not nearly as good of a game day coach. I sense a lot of Coach P in HCSS in that neither coach was really able to keep games close when there was a talent disparity... I still remember a the 62-0 blowouts on national tv we used to suffer towards the end of Coach P's time on the hill. It got to the point where I wished the games weren't on tv because I knew it meant another beatdown.
Hopefully HCSS's highs are as high as Coach P's though.
Agree. Hoping against hope it isn't a reply of the Georgia Tech game (56-0). Listening to Finebaum yesterday - it's as if we are playing the '85 Bears.I think holding them under 40 is a moral victory for our D. I think scoring 20 is a moral victory for our O. As a team staying within 3 scores (24 points). LSU is very good. We are mediocre and have our 4th/5th string QBs playing. If we play them like we did FSU last year I would be very happy.
