Brent Axe article Saturday morning is "Why Is Fran Brown Putting a Quarterback on the Field He Doesn't Trust to Throw the Ball?" He ends the article with this remarkable statement:

"We can no longer trust the word of Brown and his coaching staff on the supposed limits of Carney’s throwing ability or knowledge of the playbook based on practice footage only they get to see.

"We need to see it for ourselves with real football bullets flying.

"For better or worse, let Luke throw the football.

"What do you have to lose at this point?"

Luke Carney has just three pass attempts as a Syracuse quarterback.

This is the same moron that pined vehemently to bench Dungey for Devito. He also said that they haven’t allowed Carney to throw one pass yet this year. Just do a tiny bit of research Brent before spewing your idiocy.

He pales in comparison to Let's say Mike Waters who is objective but honestly cares and realizes the specific population that carries a specific weight no matter the time we live in. Coaches haven't even let him throw a ball, so how do we know? Instead let him pass a Williis ball up a failing middle every time. We know that doesn't work period. He at least doesn't have any interceptions for all his game time. We can't judge him or Collins at this point as I assume there all good QB's with the right play calling and coaching staff. Right now I blame it on the OC and unable to adapt with a loss of a 'star' QB. If this is a measure of a team the QB we got some long hard heartaches to come if we can't have a coach adapt to new players or work on that as a contigency.

His comment is perfectly pertinent after the posting of Axe’s article. Just because you don’t agree with it doesn’t make it unnecessary.

Carney did not look ready in his brief cameos, but that being said, it seems everybody else has been given an extended look - why not Luke ?

He's scored a TD, gotten first downs on two drives, and had a 3 and out.

I'm not really sure what's screaming "not ready" about that compared to the NCAA interceptions leader and the other guy having a completion percentage around the Mendoza line.

I don’t Mrs. Axe. I like pretty much all of our local reporters. I don’t like him. He treated callers to his show, that was cancelled,disrespectfully. I understand why Boeheim had him removed.

I have to disagree with you on your last point. No coach, no matter who they are, should have any influence on who the local media are. Any any media organization that allows that is below my contempt.

Actually out of the 3 he is the only one who hasn't turned it over or thrown the ball no where near his receivers multiple times. He completed 2 and threw one away.

I also absolutely love the thumbs down reactions, I unequivocally do not need a majority to voice what is right, especially on a chat board. at the end of the day I am a fan, I certainly have an interest in this University and it most certainly goes beyond an egg shaped ball, nor a round ball. Even though it is certainly fun to throw one and shoot it through a net. I especially am grateful for what it has done And the people who provided the medium. Certainly this university as well I hope this post is reread a 1000 times with grace multiplied. We all certainly need that right, I sure do. I am an objective Homer and I would much rather ascribe and subscribe to that rather than a $3.99 monthly pseudo insider troll that the University must make room for from a free speech perspective. Maybe in a different life I can get hired as an actual editorialist, I pray from a grace based perspective and definitely I trust with an insider's viewpoint. Friday’s game should have been started by either Carney or Williams, the QB2 and QB3 on the depth chart. To go to QB4/QB5 is ridiculous.

And to not bring Rickie in for relief in the 4th was just trying to lose. You cannot go from 1st string to 4th string barring injury or scandal. Two days later it is befuddling.
