Luke Carney

Are you speaking for the program? Dr. Gross told me a similar thing in response to keeping GRob for a 4th year and he ended up being quite wrong... as he proved himself less than a year later when (finally) firing him. But if the program wants me to not be a fan anymore, then so be it.
You would base that decision on whether one player stays or goes?

Huh? I was told to move on by some presumably peer fan, as if he has the authority to do that. And if he had the authority to do that, he would very likely not do that. I will go ahead and speak freely.

Digging just to dig, keep the dirt. We will move on see ya
Powder smack pancakes, I don't want to eat any of them dirt tastes better, Well maybe not I pass powder smacks

By all means go ahead, unless of course you donate and just feel the need to complain mercilessly. No problem. I speak for myself

To be fair, you were screaming that Collins should be starting over Angeli...Sooooooo
Never once screamed Collins should be starting over Angeli. Said Collins deserved a fair shot for the starting job, which he didn't win, while people were declaring Angeli the starter before he arrived (because of one drive that resulted in a FG).

At least get it right.

Oh come on.

I started manifesting it WAY BEFORE that field goal drive.

and the stellar performance he had in the bowl game, the entire game the year before. Film matters

Syracuse Head Coach Fran Brown is actively targeting quality quarterbacks from the transfer portal and elsewhere to build a strong QB room, aiming for competition and depth behind starter Steve Angeli, wanting guys who can compete to play immediately and support the program's growth in 2026. Brown acknowledged the need for improvement and wants to bring in experienced talent to challenge Angeli and develop young QBs like the redshirted Luke Carney, emphasizing competition to elevate the entire room.
Key Actions & Intentions:
  • Portal Focus: Brown is determined to bring in "two quality quarterbacks" from the portal this offseason, recognizing the need for more immediate impact players.
  • Competition is Key: He wants players who can push Angeli and improve the overall standard, stating Steve wants competition to be able to play right away.
  • Developing Young Talent: While targeting transfers, the staff also plans to develop younger QBs like Luke Carney, who is being redshirted in 2025 to learn the offense.
  • Addressing Past Issues: Following a tough 2025 season, Brown is focused on rebuilding the roster, especially at QB, to save the program and create a more robust QB room.
Who They're Looking At:
  • Syracuse has reportedly reached out to top portal QB targets like Marcus Stokes, showing their intent to land high-caliber players.
In short, Fran Brown is taking a proactive approach to overhaul the quarterback room, prioritizing proven talent and competition to support Steve Angeli and build for the future. Google<<

If HCFMFB is bringing in a Quarterback, perhaps the staff one of these guys may just get a call.

Colton Joseph, Old Dominion University

Jaden Craig, Harvard University

Braden Atkinson, Mercer University

Taron Dickens, Western Carolina

Caden Pinnick, UC Davis

Although very different in their own right, there are things to like in the tape. (some limited)

Taron Dickens and Caden Pinnick do not possess the best measurables, but are above average athletes and playmakers. I believe Pinnick has some game to himself, but then again I'm no expert. Just thought of putting these names out there and see what you guys think.

No program can tell someone whether they can or cannot be fan. It's totally up to the person. Thanks for being a fellow fan.

You literally were calling for Rickie 2 drives into the first game. "Fair shot" lol

You said it was racist when I told you that he didn’t get the mental aspects of the position. I was told this by a player in the team. The player clearly knew what he was talking about.

There are some folks (that aren't here anymore, or at least got a timeout at the time) That posted questionable comments that I was responding as as a whole to. At the end of the day, I stand by what I said. People were getting awful loose with the stereotypes.

Also, IIRC your post at the time didn't state that you got it from a player.

I’m not speaking for others but I remember you said Collins was not a “dual threat qb” and anyone who thought so was basing that off skin color. But if you go to espn his recruiting profile says “dual threat qb”.

Did you use ChatGPT to write this? Not hating, just impressed.

I think most of the board was. Angeli was awful vs Tennessee.
I went to the SU-Tennessee game. Two of my best friends are Tennessee fans. They couldn't stop saying that our QB was good and they were impressed.

So no, not everyone on this board was. And no, he was not 'awful'. It was his first start in a new system against a top 15 team in the country.

You were calling for Collins the moment Angeli was named the starter, and questioning how 'fair' the competition was. Stop the changing narrative.

yeah Tennesse came Steve was ok and exepcted some pumps that game.
I will admit I wanted Rickie in the awful UCONN game to see it would wake the team up and Steve was not playing well.
