Lydon on the last play

What the Clemson coach should really be asking himself is why there were three players converged on Lydon and why no one was within 5 yards of Battle on the wing. Were they fighting over the chance to flop?
90% of the time in that situation the team's best player is going to force up the shot. Lydon fooled them by drawing the defenders and making the smart pass to an open shooter. Great job.

Did anyone see how VCU beat George Washington last night? Would have been pass interference in the NFL.

Just watched the final play again (and again a few more times). Did anyone else catch Gillon's reaction to the shot? Loved it! Actually the reaction of all of the guys was great. Helps to make up for such a tough year.

Clemson defender should have had his hands up trying to deflect the ball - whether Lydon was going to shoot or pass - instead of running up and putting his hands in charge-position. The clock expired when the ball was in the air. Any touch on Lydon's pass and Battle might've run out of time. Either way, to OP's question, on TV it looks close but my orange-colored glasses are inclined to say it was a flop.

Also, if you listen to Matt Park's call at the end of the game, he mentions how Clemson's coach was trying to call a timeout and how it could have been a T.
