take away FSU and Clemson and there is very little seperation between the three conferences. The MAC is very tough top to bottom, Cincinnati is better than Miami, the game was not an upset. SU can win every game on their schedule

Looks that way, but it is early in the season.

You got to love Toledo, the pride of the MAC . We have not played them in awhile, are they on any of our future schedules?

Why stop there? Take away OSU and MSU and the Big 10 doesn't look any better either.

Cincy played Miami at home on a Thursday night - big surprise that they were more up for that game - and big deal anyway - Miami is middle of the pack in the ACC and has been since they arrived.

The MAC is very tough from top to bottom? no it's not.

Obviously the ACC isn't very strong this year, but the OP is borderline trolling with that nonsense.

Agree. People are making some crazy ridiculous assumptions this week, lol. Ano's comment in the other thread about the AAC being better top to bottom is asinine.

Indiana, NW & Michigan are pretty good this year but Wisky, Neb and Ped St don't help them much. Nebraska is the Miami of the BIG, has fallen into mediocrity since changing conferences.

If you recall they actually beat us last time but the refs blew an obvious miss of a SU PAT.

Not this $#1+ again...

If SU's extra point attempt had been reversed then both the offensive and defensive play calling would've been completely different. Timeout usage, if available, would be different as well. Did the officials make a bad call? Probably, but it was reviewed. Do we know how the game would've ended? Nope.

You could ask similar questions about this year's CMU game as well. There were a couple of plays where SU appeared to be very fortunate.

Of course. Anything can happen, but one thing is for sure and that is that we had one point we shouldn't have had.
Had it been the other way around we would have had a 1,000 page thread.

Either way, Syracuse should never have been in that situation. Of course, the Pig People are thinking the same thing this year.

Meh. The botched call occurred with 2 minutes to go. There was one possession after that kick. Toledos game tying fg with time expiring. I don't think being down 2 or 3 points changes their decision to kick. Nor do I think it changes our defensive calls.

As Crusty says, We got lucky...really lucky. They had us beat.

... and SU was screwed at Notre Dame in what, 1962?

Is it really that asinine? ACC vs AAC is 3-3 heads up this year.

Tulane has losses to GT and Duke
USF lost to FSU

ECU beat VT
Cincinatti beat Miami
Houston beat Louisville

Maybe it was an overstatement saying top to bottom the AAC is as good as the ACC this year, but I don't think it's as ridiculous as you are making it out to be. All I can say is look at the results. Take away Clemson and FSU and the AAC is just as good as the ACC THIS SEASON.

I don't care about the entire AAC I only care about beating USF.

Why would you take away Florida St and Clemson?

I should say FSU and Clemson are the only 2 ACC teams that are clearly better then the AAC.

As for ACC vs AAC as a whole... the record is 3-3. Hopefully Syracuse makes it 4-3.

What about the ACK?

Miami is the only decent win they have on that list, and they are probably the 3rd-4th best team in their division. VT has no offense and Ville is bad right now.
What does it say when one of their top undefeated teams (Houston) squeaks out a win over a bad Louisville team?

What you said was completely asinine bro.

Sorry, but you're going a bit over the top with asinine. If you are going to play the good victory card, then who is the ACC's best win Tulane or USF? Small sample size, but just from eye test you don't see much difference in the conferences this year. I don't think anyone would argue that the ACC hasn't drastically underachieved this year. Georgia Tech, Virginia Tech, UNC, Louisville have all performed below expectations. Other then FSU, who is down themselves this year, and Clemson, the ACC has been a heap of mediocre teams. I'm an ACC fan myself, but I don't see how anybody can argue this?

I don't disagree with it being a down year for the ACC. I also don't believe it's fair to say that the conferences are comparable though. Top to Bottom, the ACC is superior in every way, imo.

The top of the ACC is better, the bottom is probably better too, but the middle is pretty damn close. Just think it's up to Syracuse to give the ACC a winning record heads up vs. the AAC and they are currently a 3 point underdog.

I mean that's quite selective. That's like saying the Browns are just as good as the Packers if you take away Aaron Rodgers and Randall Cobb.

I clarified it after. Still the same counting FSU's win. ACC 3 AAC 3. On deck SU vs USF.
