I was thinking of this today. I like it although it makes too much sense to ever actually happen. I'd add UConn and ND to it if they are not in the ACC. Would be a great event and you could do it as individual matchups or a tournament over two or three nights. It would basically be the major gate getters from the BET so you have to figure MSG would like it.

only problem is why would big east teams want to play in this when they would already be playing each other 0nce or twice

Good point. New idea: Friday we play one of them and Saturday we play a different one of them. Can rotate through these opponents year to year.

Assume UConn comes to the ACC

Rotate SU/UConn/Pitt vs. St. Johns/Nova/Gtown

Each team plays 3 games vs. other conference for total of 9 games - good to decide winning conference

Here is another novel idea. How about we just schedule home and away games with them like most other normal programs do.
