Can you give him a guarantee?I heard he was talking about you on Twitter.

Like most of your posts including the one I quoted.
I heard he was talking about you on Twitter.
Absurd. What's gained by teams telling kids and their agents they'll take them only to not?
If an NBA team tells you that, I'd take it as a pretty good sign. Not end all be all - but worth way more that what you're describing.
There are no guarantees when it comes to the draft.
Players usually make a jump from their freshman year, not everyone, but most players. If he isn't drafted in the first round, or he doesn't earn a 2nd contract, I think we can say he made the wrong decision.
I don't have a problem with your opinion but there are people here who would never say Malachi leaving was a "wrong decision". It's funny how people say Malachi leaving is "his decision". People are not claiming the decision is not his to make which is a really strange thing to argue. But people having an opinion about someone leaving CBB was a bad decision are somehow lower lifeforms. People are entitled to have opinions. I think everyone's opinion should be respected especially ones that differ from our own.
Thats why we debate these topics, its fun, no one knows for sure whats going to happen. He could go in the lottery, maybe he gets drafted in the 2nd round, the mock drafts are all over the place on him.Everyone is entitled to their opinion, not sure why people need to call out others in a thread for no apparent reason.

People just don't like your opinion is the reason. But what I think is strange is the way they make ad hominem attacks on your posts all the time, in my opinion, is uncalled for and really not necessary.
I imagine if Malachi doesn't get drafted the first round, or drafted at all, he will be upset. At this point, I hope he does well in the draft. I really don't have any strong opinion about Malachi staying another year. However, really don't like the 1-and-done thing and I preferred it when CBB players staying 4 years was the norm. I just liked it better as fan when you can watch the same players over a number of years.
Holy christ, has this thread gotten hijacked...
Did I say that??"If he isnt drafted in the first round, or he doesnt earn a 2nd contract, I think we can say he made the wrong decision."
It's my opinion that I have a right to hijack any thread if I believe said hijacking is in the best interest of the SU basketball program, and more importantly, me. Oh, and the NBA is the devil.Holy christ, has this thread gotten hijacked...
I think this "it's just my opinion" defense gets stretched a bit far. First, folks are just as entitled to have an opinion that another's opinion is illogical or mean spirited. Second, and particular to this topic, some of the opinions on this thread have been exactly that. I could provide multiple examples but will offer one - "we need to start recruiting kids who want to be here". That was actually written on this forum. In other words, Richardson is the wrong kind of person to recruit to Syracuse and we should not recruit people like him in the future. Whether that is someone's honest opinion or an immature reaction to something that did not go as they wished (ding ding ding) is besides the point. To me, that is illogical, mean spirited, and completely unfair to a great kid who represented Syracuse well on and off the court. I don't think immunity attaches bc someone claims that's just my opinion.
Interesting interpretation...I guess one could also conclude based upon your example that it's one of disappointment vs. "mean spirited," etc. Though, as you cite, "to me" is based solely upon your own thinking and your own opinion, which, of course, you're entitled to as well...immunity or not.
It's almost for the best this way.
Otherwise, we'd have to see 547 more posts from a certain person just stating their opinion on the subject.
We only want people posting to this thread who WANT to be here!
Or certain posters attacking someone's opinion for no apparent reason.
The first several dozen times you stated your opinion, that was fine.
It's these last several dozen times that's getting a bit stale.
That's the reason - and it's more than apparent to everybody - but you, clearly.
This thread now has 147 posts - I'd wager at least 1/3 are from you.
And it's the same on any and all other similar threads.
Don't you think that's just a tad excessive?
I know "fan" is short for "fanatic" - but it doesn't need to be literal.
We get it. You've been quite clear in what your opinion on this topic is. Repeatedly.
You're like the syracusefan.com auto-reply feature on any Mali-related thread.
Of course it's a big topic, and many posters have commented on various aspects of Malachi's decision in different threads.Malachi leaving has been by far the biggest topic of the offseason, there have been several posters who have posted about it in several different threads, I don't see the point of calling someone out, if you don't agree with them, state your reasons, no need to attack them.
Of course it's a big topic, and many posters have commented on various aspects of Malachi's decision in different threads.
You, however, just seem to repeatedly state that Malachi is making a bad decision, and repeatedly express doubts about the veracity of the information he has been receiving from NBA people. The fact that you do this in multiple threads is what some of us take issue with. It's really that simple.
