Kid is at elite at D. Has unreal hands and reflexes on defense.

Hes efficient and is incredibly well-rounded. But, if you measure success on ppg, you’re going to need to keep looking.

His BPM this year is 12.8 with his DBPM of 9.8 (!!!!!)

He’s going to finish his career with a PER around 20 and TS% like 67% or 68%.

Really too bad he didn’t work out here. But he’s making bank, winning a lot of games, the Duke fans LOVE him and he’ll be vying for a title again.

Maliq’s defensive instincts and skills were evident from the start. It was unfortunate that he was seemingly more appreciated by the fans than by either coaching staff in his two years at Syracuse. He knew his worth and made the best decision for himself. Happy for the guy.
