Manley Renovations started over break.

Damn. 5-6 mil for upgrades and that's not even including a new practice facility. That's alot of sheckles.

Training rooms were allready re-done last fall, it was in one of those SU magazines you get as Orange Pack member two brand new whirpools to both hot and cold looked really nice. Perhaps those were for all SU sports though they seemed to insinuiate it was for football

Didn't DcCuse say something about Lax getting some new facilities recently? I wonder if that if part of this renovation?

No the picture showed Nassib and another Fball player being treated, room was obviously new had nice SU logos everywhere even on the hot and cold tubs.

Good progress.

Still a long way to go.

Before SU Football can truly compete with our soon to be ACC brothers, much needs to be done, including a fully dedicated indoor practice facility - despite the surprising success of the Manley facility.

We need a defined "wow" factor and that is not available yet within the Football Complex.

Agreed, just a drop in the bucket as to what needs to be done up there if we want to rebuild a winner

all this appears speculative and hearsay, why is there nothing on suathletics, like other college websites????as far as i am concerned until on the website this is all bu..., conjecture. why the secret?and why no publicity?????

sorry orangepa, not drinking the koolaid -- i've been around as long as you, long enough to know i want proof of what su has done re:facilities----until is see it in official print it's all bs.

Can't someone smuggle a camera phone onto the premises?

Sounds like your also calling IB a liar since he's seen the plans.

i haven't----why do i need a third party verification if this truly exists?????50yrs of su sports

Ok well i guess people are just imagining construction at Manley.

I believe you guys when you sa construction is going on but Tipphill has an excellent point. If SU has initiated this CRITICAL upgrade why the hell don't they talk about it like normal universities do???? If TGD's PR staff can't get the job done the BOT needs to tell Cantor to hire some professionals to do it for him.

really.. typical universities discuss upgrades to the public? I can name about 50 at Cornell right now that the public doesn't know about and probably a dozen of them are athletic related. We have several that we are not even allowed to announce until completion. Depending on where the money comes from can make a difference on how much gets out and when . maybe the announcement is part of some bigger plan?

Maybe the person or persons involved who donated the largest chunk of change want to hold a press conference at their convenience.

That's a great idea for Syracuse given the athletic department is in the business of attracting people (recruits, donors, fans) to the programs...

They should be screaming to the heavens the developments going on.

Yes Tipp Hill it's vrtual reality up there, in fact they are taking down part of Manley to build a new Wal Mart and A Fucillo automall, has nothing to do with facilities being upgraded. In addition, the PM on the project is just imagining having to get it all done more or less in 5 months-- it's all in his head.

I heard they were adding DreamGirls III as a recruiting tool.

sorry ib,did not mean to shoot the messenger.however as supporters, ticket buyers and in general anyone who has a vested interest in su,have a right to know.as su2nasa pointed out any major renovation should be publicized to encourage the fan base as well as recruits.if there is a "grander scheme"it bodes no purpose to not provide some detail as it progresses. facilities have been our albatross . we could benefit from some encouragement and not guard it as a nuclear secret---by the way i don't shop walmart, they treat their employees poorly
