It doesn't mean any of those three will. And they won't, except on rare occasions this season. But keep flogging that horse.playing marek at the 5 also means oshae and hughes (and tyus) are playing full 40 minutes again. unless you happen to think braswell is gonna see conference minutes in relief. seems unlikely.
well look at minutes played for ACC (15 teams mind you) we got 3 of the top 12. guess who ?

No excuse when you have a guy like Carey sitting on the bench.
no they're not. but these are preconference numbers. expect them to swell.35, 32, 32 isn’t crazy.
You know who else in the recent past committed dumb fouls? Ongenaet. The common factor--they both grew up playing international ball, where you take a foul 50 feet from the rim to prevent a 2-on-1, and where the officials don't call a lot of the bumping and grinding in the paint. He commits more dumb fouls than anyone we have had recently. He needs to understand how important he is and let some plays go. Love his effort but he needs to smarten up on D.

But, as JB noted, Sidibe made several big plays down the stretch--took a charge, blocked a shot, got some big rebounds (6 in only 15 minutes). Now, if he could just finish at the rim.Seriously, Sidibe had 15 minutes in today, many after PC and MD were gone. Crimoney, if we're going to absorb 15 minutes or more from him, can't we do it before we're in a position of desperation, and as an added benefit maybe help keep PC and MD around a little longer? But what the hell do I know?
edit: and PC and MD can actually make FT's down the stretch ...
Come on. He's playing 19 minutes per game this season as opposed to 28 last season and committing the same number of fouls (2.8) per game. So he's even less disciplined than he was as a raw freshman who was force fed big minutes by necessity. You know who else in the recent past committed dumb fouls? Ongenaet. Should Dolejaz adjust? Probably. But it's hard to break life-long habits.
It would be nice if Chukwu and Sidibe could finish better (or at all) at the rim, but it's not as critical this season since JB had the pieces to put four legitimate scoring threats on the floor with them. I would be hesitant to put either out there for extended minutes with Dolezaj though, or at least as long as he continues to pass up his shot. But, as JB noted, Sidibe made several big plays down the stretch--took a charge, blocked a shot, got some big rebounds (6 in only 15 minutes). Like comparing Frank and Zion for playing time is even rational.
Actually, they are bad. They are scared. It’s like they were sent to POW camp and have PTSD every time they touch the ball. Not sure if JB thinks this approach somehow leads to results... or if he just doesn’t know any other way.
Well then you would not have a very good team. Not picking battle would be insane
