I don't know. Shouldn't the hardnosed individual say go and if we don't get it, the defense has your back? If your gut says punt, then I don't see a lot of hope in that changing.

everyone has stupid guts. you have to stop and use your head and recognize your own biases. maybe shafer can do that. it's something. he's been really bad about punting this year but at least we're taking our big bath all at once (coaching change, injuries, bad decisions). this stuff is easy low hanging fruit, no reason he can't see the light.
