Not surprising, I'd imagine they're going to kick the tires on a lot of candidates. Doug's true "Dream" job.
Ha ha my thoughts exactly He would get eaten alive in New York. He would never be su cecum there. Any one that hired him would be making a mistakeIf he and his family couldn't handle the scrutiny and voices of dissension in Syracuse, this guy ain't gonna handle it anywhere

This morning on 97.5 The Fanatic in Philadelphia, Brian Baldinger gave a strong endorsement of Marrone for the Eagles job.
Talked about his strong OL background and supported his Buffalo decision.
He also indicated that the Eagles are apparently not interested.
Why does it seems like a lot of teams say that about Marrone?
I haven't heard any other team say that about Marrone.
In fact, it seems that he is getting a lot of interviews.
But, I'm certain the decision to leave Buffalo hurt him to some extent.

Didn't he have a lot of interviews last year as well? I like Marrone and I agree with you about leaving the Bills hurting him but for some reason there seems to be more to this. I feel he'd be better off in a place that doesn't have the press hound him and NY and Philly definitely do not fit that criteria.
Because the Eagles know him and the fanbase would be a horrifically volatile combination.
All I know is that he is reportedly going to interview with the Giants, the Browns and the Dolphins.
So, there is interest.
I agree that he has a thin skin and I wonder if he could handle the NYC press. That is a legitimate question.
I would hope that he has learned some things over the past year and I would like to see him get a job.
I have great respect for him and appreciate what he did for the Program - I wish he had never left.

Sour grapes. You're a professional athlete, god forbid you have to work a bit harder.I'm wondering if you noticed a quote in the Philly paper this past week by Eagles LB, Conner Barwin.
In trying to explain the apparent failure of the defense this season he noted that because of the hurry up offense that Kelly ran, the Eagles defense played the equivalent of three additional games - when compared to every other team in the league.
That has been a major talking point in Philadelphia - the new age offenses put way too much pressure on the defensive unit.
My grammar must have been bad. What I intended to communicate is not that the Eagles know him, but that they anticipate he and the fanbase would be a bad combination.Actually I don't think the Eagles know him.
I have heard that he never actually interviewed with the team last time around - he took the job with Buffalo before the interview could be held.
Also, I have heard that the Eagles are focused on Doug Pederson whom they view as the heir to Andy Reid.
Biblical level blowouts.I'm wondering if you noticed a quote in the Philly paper this past week by Eagles LB, Conner Barwin.

they were still only 25th in the league in yards per play. if you look at that stat, you don't get thrown off by teams that have more plays in their games. not buying barwin's argument, they were still pretty badI'm wondering if you noticed a quote in the Philly paper this past week by Eagles LB, Conner Barwin.

I believe that the argument only looks at Time Of Possession. Yes, they were on the field longer. But, did they really need to play a lot more plays? As long as the other team was running a traditional offense then they were also able to substitute... unlike their opposition's D.not buying barwin's argument, they were still pretty bad
