Marshall's wrist injury...

I'm confused. Didn't they say he already had his surgery? There's no way the dude is playing days after surgery that requires a cast. I would understand if he put off surgery.

Can't let this thread go without bragging about Alex Chesley, kid at our HS. Here's a shot of him after making a tackle against Fairport.

Had same thing. Bone graph too. But they could delay surgery and he could play for next 2 weeks. It just hurts. A lot.
He had surgery this AM

Broke the scaphoid myself. Mis diagnosed at ER as a sprain. Played entire season of football at LB. Had surgery after the season. Playing hoops for two weeks? Not an issue. Merely pain tolerance.

Tape it up. Never had one issue with my scaphoid break, operated on 5 months post injury.

The question isn't really whether he can tolerate pain and play (he could easily get a shot to reduce pain) but it's the potential consequences to not letting it heal properly. You were very fortunate to have no problems after being misdiagnosed and it's not like AVN is common, but due to the low blood flow to the area there is a much greater chance and that could make a fairly simple fracture career ending. Remember AVN was the huge concern with Delone Carter's hip. I just don't believe it's worth the risk especially considering he'll most likely be very minimally effective anyways. Can you imagine how much they will overplay his left hand?

He was an episode of boy meets world. Where cory wanted to be pro baseball player and mr feeny failed him for some dumb mr feeny lesson reason in the end. So cory is depressed that his teacher crushed his dream and so his father brings home Jim Abbott and he teaches him and all of a lesson. and that is if we become rich and famous stick it to the ppl who doubted us

Is that the same episode where the girl gets hooked on caffeine while studying for the SAT?

I always thought the mom on that show was sneaky hot. Never seen her in anything else though.

Wait, im confused. Are we talking about Saved by the Bell? The infamous "Im so excited, im so excited...im so scared" episode? This happened on Boy Meets World too?

It's not just about pain. Playing through this injury could result in avasular necrosis and life long wrist pain/ dysfunction because the blood supply to this bone is tenuous ..if he plays...he's nuts
Kenny Smith said he played through a similar injury and it was a big mistake.
