We rarely play anywhere close to the fast other teams play. The fact we still use this is a joke. I think we’ve played slower this year then even DB’s first year

Hillarious all the people complaining that gameday, and college football in general don't take us serious enough after 1 good year.
Put on the orange colored glasses, and ignore the glaring question marks heading into the season.
No, there is no conspiracy by gameday and Kirk Herbstreit to always paint us in a poor light. We earned out "prove it" status, and so far have layed an egg.

My halftime 2 cents ... our D looked gassed half way throttle 2st qtr , there WRs are wide open and we look in settled at the snap and confused .. I’m close to our sideline and we looked lathargic from the get go

You’re not learning the lesson here. This game is proving that we don’t know anything about Maryland. They could be a top team in the Big 10.

I remember people complaining about the loss to Tennessee in 1998. “How did we lose to a team with Tee Martin at QB?”

All Martin did was lead the Vols to an undefeated season and the title.

MD isn’t going to be a top Big10 team. You can quote me on that at the end of the season too.

Even if they are, you’re saying we aren’t very good still. Which is exactly what I said.

What was even better were the Shafer crew defending the decision all week on the board. This week will be just as fun

Dino has had one good year for us, largely in part to an easy schedule and a QB he didn’t recruit.

I’m officially wondering if he can make it happen here. The recruiting we all try to gloss over is showing in games like this and ND... and to top it off, he was bullish on this defense.

Completely outcoached today, in every facet.

I think dino was trying to avoid a late to. It was a conscious decision. Disagree w the strategy is fine but i doubt it was unconscious.

They were also ranked in the top 10. We knew they were good.

I don’t think the Oline has looked terrible. We’ve been able to run the ball decent. It’s really the defense that’s been atrocious.

I genuinely can't figure out what our gameplan was defensively. Ward and the defense look like they've never seen an RPO or handle basic coverage assignments. The quick passes and option have neutralized our pass rush. On top of that we have missed a multitude of tackles across all of the positions. I'm not sure there is a single positive to take away from our defense in the first half.

Our offense hasn't been much better but at least there have been a few glimmers of hope.

I'm really hoping this game is an outlier and serves as an enormous wake up call to the team. they really need to buckle down the rest of the year. We need some guys to step up an make some plays. Trishton made a couple plays but we need more... much more!
