From a recruiting perspective I don't think there will be any negative fallout but it will be interesting to watch. It's certainly possible. It just became much harder and more expensive for parents to go watch their kids play in the Big 10.

Take away PSU and Buttgers and it's 7 hours to Columbus from Maryland. Then what?

5 hours to Raleigh/Durham, 5.5 to Syracuse. 3 To UVA, 5 to Blacksburg, 4.5 to Pittsburgh etc etc.

if they are like Ohio St. they will find someone to fly in the impoetant players parents on a private jet.

and that is a fact...just don't ask why

Especially those under-armour all americans?

It'll help who ever is in the same division as Maryland as they can say you'll play there twice and have a chance to go to the Rose Bowl, something that won't happen if you play for Maryland.

Its not just "more expensive " for parents. Thos schools must bear the financial burden of transporting thei players to the midwest from NJ Maryland it ain't gonna be inexpensive. It wouldn't have made sense for Syracuse and it doesn't make sense except for chest thumping rights Sure the BT has a cache of distinction but when either or both of these two schools become patsies for the established members ,they won't be chest thumping much.I think a prepared SU sports program fares better in the ACC.
