The thing is I get the whole flip flopping and decommitting/committing thing is frustrating but these kids are still busting their butts to get into a good program and give themselves a shot at a good education and potential pro sports career (which lets face it is very slim) and when a kid like that is loyal only to have his opportunity ripped away right before NSD sucks. They want the loyalty of the kids to the program but don't want to return the favor? I am a big advocate of a 4 year scholarship contract instead of annual renewals ... I mean these are 18 year old kids making huge decisions and its hard so I get the churn and I can see why a coach would be frustrated however the coaches should be held to a higher standard as should the institutions.

ECU is the safety school for your safety school.

That's not true. I mean, think of sentences like, "Happily, I never even had to consider ECU when I was looking at colleges."

ECU is the school you threaten your kids with when they don't do their homework. "Keep it up and the only school you will be able to get into will be ECU."

Yeah 30 years ago they were playing Division III football coming out of an era when they had ended the program completely. I also call BS. If your a D I guy you're not going to drop to D III if you get spurned unless maybe you did somthing criminal to earn that pulled scholly on character grounds.

Don't ask me why, but I looked through his comment history on Yahoo. Found this additional bit of info on another story about an Auburn LB recruit flipping to K-State:
