McDonald: "Drew is our Quarterback."

CuseOnly, good points. Makes sense. I have a feeling that we will be seeing more of Terrel Hunt in the next couple games. Based on that one series, he does bring an element to the team that is lacking currently. However, not convinced he should be given the starters role outright. He should have to earn it with solid play and not by default. I have confidence that the coaches will make the right decision. As others have posted, there is some tweaking to the starters that should happen at other positions as well.
The starter's role should be based on how the two QBs perform IN GAME SITUATIONS over the next 2 weeks. So, they need to split time vs Wagner & Tulane.

In my view, Allen = Practice Player

and, on a different but related subject, Funderburk = Gamer

Jim Brown was not a great practice player, but ended up a pretty good runner.

You conveniently ignore the possibility that there is such a thing as "Meathead Coaching."
This is an easy cop-out argument that too many on these boards throw around, knowing that there is no way to present a counter-opinion. If something doesn't work - "Coach is a meathead". If something works, "Even a blind monkey hits the dartboard once in a while." It completely ignores the possibility that two intelligent people can look at a situation and arrive at distinctly different, opposing viewpoints.

It's grown tiresome, quite frankly.

Per the infamous Michael Cohen.

Not the perfect thing to say right now...

For what it is worth, the defense didn't show up until the 2nd half. Plenty of blame to go around.

Constructive Criticism Offense:

WR's are not getting open
We are pass happy, yet are going dowfield. All short stuff.
We haven't established SU football, running right at them.
Drew is throwing down on the ball, effectively lowering his trajectory, which is allowing the D Line to tip or knock down his passes. He has to let it go, he is in fear of the INT.
Play calling is too complex. We need no more than 6-10 plays out of different formations. Expand later.

on Defense:
Blitz crazy with soft zone coverage on a mobile QB is a killer, hence what happened to us. We need to show the blitz and drop off more often. Trust the D line to put pressure and use Dyshawn as a QB spy.

Special Teams: Very little improvement so far. Missed x-points, FGs, nothing much on PR's. Shake it up and put a play maker back there like Brisley. What have we got to lose. Big plays out of this group help stem the tide or give us momentum, something clearly lacking the first 2 games.

In hindsight, there is no quit in this team. Would have been a great year to have an early tune up game, but at least we get 2 before we start play in the ACC. Iwould stick with Drew too, but if he struggles against Wagner, pull him and see what Hunt can do with a whole half. We have been in holes in each of the last 3 seasons, and 2 of them we went on to bowls. Win the next 2 and get ready for Clemson.

Think about the play of our secondary over the past two weeks. Then think about the offensive plays being called last week with Allen at QB. I can very easily see Allen looking better than Hunt throwing deep sideline passes against weak coverage in practice than Hunt. There are 3 problems with that A. We don't have the receivers to make it work in real life; B. Allen throws interceptions when the pass defense is tighter than ours seems to be; C. Our weapons (Broyld, Estime etc) are much better suited to the type of plays Hunt ran when he was in there (yes in mop up time). Point being I think our defense made Allen look good and Hunt is better for the kind of offense we SHOULD be running.
