He is sooooooo ready!
How much time did Brandon see in the 2nd half ???Don't think so...How much time did he see in the 2nd half??
JB's handling of the rotation in the second half was completely abysmal. I don't think he made more than two or three substitutions over the entire 20 minutes. Not one his brighter coaching moments of the season. He was almost testing the guys out there, to see if they could win another close game on the road. Not great for my stress levels.I'm still confused why neither he or James got any run in the second half. Cuse was rolling with them on the court in the first half. Don't get it at all.
We built that 15 point lead in the first half largely on the great play of MCW. He was solid on the offensive end but he was fantastic on the defensive end. UConn had tremendous difficulty shooting over him from the top of the zone. His denial of the entry pass into the lane was excellent....yet he got no run in the second half when UConn's offense was clicking. JB err red by not playing him in the second half, he really could have helped slow down their run.Once UConn made their run in the second half, JB went with his line-up that has continually pulled out W's in close games. Why wouldnt he do that? The line-up on the court in the second half has pulled out every single close game. You want to mess with that? At this point in the season?
Very impressive that the run came with MCW, Dion and James on the floor.
MCW does all the things you would want from a PG except one very big thing -- He can't (so far) get past his defender with the dribble and into the lane.
Maybe he adds this to his game as he gets stronger.
But here is the worry. Scoop and Dion do this very well -- the dribble drive that creates a threat in the middle and can lead to a finish or a pass to the center or PF for a finish. Not a strength for BT either.
You can pair MCW with Dion but makes me wonder about some other combinations (MCW with Cooney or Triche).
Most of uconns run came with BMK on the court. it is getting to the point where we cannot afford to sit melo. that is not good. I really think we need to get rak all of the back up minutes for melo and hope and pray he can give us something in the post season. it may be too late..but i cant see him being worse than bmk
Although I'd like to see some of this too, it is simply too late. Christmas is quicker, stronger and more athletic than Keita but doesn't have the experience and, if possible, is even more foul prone. I think it's something that should have continued to be worked in since Melo's suspension but I think it would take an injury to Melo or BK for Rak to get any time the 5 at this point.

What did JB retire?
No but we have decided to take the reins anyhow. You'll just have to play along.. We have way more wins in our minds..
