MCW...rook of the year!

Amazing that he led all rookies in points, assists, steals and rebounds. I guess not too many front court rookies got big playing time.

But, as he says, it's about winning. I wonder what thoughts went through his mind when we were 25-0 and they were losing 26 in a row?
SWC, where do you find these little anecdotes that go in to your signature? They're awesome.

Check out m,y "Runs and Bases" series on the 'Other Sports' board. I'm using the internet as well as my library of baseball books, including Bill James' Historical Baseball Abstract, SABR's Baseball's First Stars and Bill Jenkinson's Baseball's Ultimate Power.

Well worth checking out for any fan of the game. You're guaranteed to learn something you didn't know before.

MCW could have a long and super successful career and never make an all star team - we are in the era of the point guard, and the depth in the East alone is amazing:
John Wall
Kyle Lowry
Deron Williams
Kyrie Irving
Rajon Rondo looks to be back and healthy
Derrick Rose (if he can come back close to 100%)

and that is just at the top . . .then you have guys like Jeff Teague, Brandon Jennings, George Hill . . .

MCW had a great year, but he was just 9th in Assist to Turnover Ratio among Eastern PGs who played at least 30 mpg in at least 70 games

this is not meant to run down MCW, but just to point out how deep and super talented is the NBA

How did Plumlee get 2 votes for 1st place? Or even any for 2nd or 3rd?

Best PER among rookies, plays an important role for a winning team. MCW was obviously the runaway at #1, but Plumlee definitely deserved some love after him.
