Meanwhile, BC lost to FSU

I'm not worried about this game. BC has slowed down a lot this season after starting hot. Plus, there's the Meathead factor - the Dazzler will play to not lose if it's close.

Dillon will get his yarfs, but we'll get the win.

I must admit I laugh every time I see a post with the “Dazzler” in it. Greatest nickname of all time.

I wished I shared your confidence because I think we should be at least "worried." BC is going to play us the same way ND did and take away the run. They are very big and physical in the front 7. They will make TD beat them with his arm.

They will pound away with Dillon all game - I have no doubt he will play and even less doubt that Dazzler will run him until he is physically unable to play.

BC is very solid. I feel a little better about our run defense since Guthrie and Shy have stepped up. We need to show some balance on offense to be successful.

This isn’t the same BC team that played Miami.

It’s funny that we’re worried about a malaise. I expect our guys to come out focused. BC might as well, but they have a tendency to run their great RB’s into the ground. Glad we’re getting them in the last week of the season.

Also, sort of an anomaly...lost to our two 2017 ACC wins. But we’ve beat every ACC team we lost to last year (switching UNC for Miami). Stands to reason we’ll beat BC.

Did you mean the pass? Just about the only thing we did ok yesterday was run.

What did Purdue do so special to easily control that game from start to finish? They dominated them but don’t remember the details

No, I meant run. Kelly talked at length during his post game PC saying that you need to control the run game to have a chance at dealing with Dino's offense. That was their game plan. [Side note: I do no think we did anything "ok" against ND, run or pass.]

BC will follow suit (especially with ED out) and will try to limit the run game and make TD beat them with his arm.

Dillon's had around 40 Carrie's yesterday. I hope he's really tired.

Carrie's huh? So you are saying you hope he's burned out, not going to set the defense on fire. Please clarify.

Yeah, I think they're fading.

What I mean is, I don’t think they forced us out of running with their scheme. It was being down 3 scores that did that.

They are good at every level, so they got their fair share of stops in the running game. But especially early, Neal and Strickland were getting 3-5 yards a carry.

Problem was late when we had to pass and couldn’t protect.

I’m not worried that BC will try the same thing because they are 1/2 as talented and we’ll score on them some no matter how they defend us.

ND lite is the right word for BC. I think this game will come to, ironically, the weather. It can get windy in Alumni and i think that is advantage BC. ND set up the blue print by jamming the receivers and daring us to beat them vertically to the sidelines. They have pass rushers who can get to the QB.

This will be a close game but we need good weather to get the passing game going to mix it up against BC.

Yep. I’m way more worried about the weather than anything else. (Though, if it’s Tommy - his arm is strong enough to do ok with *some* wind.)

I don’t think there is a blueprint. As Kelly said, we’ve seen it all. That is exactly the defense that WMU tried and we tore them up. It will be about our execution.

First off for those who don't know, I don't believe Dillion played vs Purdue.

To me one of the biggest keys to the BC game is if the receivers can fight off holds and the like and BC loves to hold hands while playing pass defense. Have to play either quick or strong. The SU OL has to show up as well.

Whoever said that this was peak BC is right. They have an NFL RB, TE, some very good OL. A decent QB and some weapons at WR. But they still couldn’t break through vs Clemson and lost to a limping FSU team.

Dillon is beat up. They rely on him too much. I’m happy to be playing them late.

Absolutely. We can out-execute BC and win. I don't disagree w that. ND executed what can beat Syracuse. There's no debate about that. I think Tommy can throw through the wind but it will impact things a bit.

This will be 24-17 game

Allen is very good too. Wouldn’t mind seeing Cuse RBs help out with a chip block here or there as they head out of the backfield.

It looked like Dillon was hurt toward end of game , he was helped off field and was walking very gingerly
Same thing happened last week. Looking from afar, it appears Dillon's ankle is in bad shape. I didn't watch the game but he was a shadow of himself last week.

Looks like Addazio played him too early and I think he will not be 100% again until their bowl game, at the earliest.

If the weather holds we'll be fine. Forecasted partly cloudy and 44. Game is on turf.

Cold rain advantage goes to the home team imo.

When was the last time Syracuse played well on the road? This has Pitt #2 written all over it. Hope I'm wrong.

That's always the problem with dome teams.
