Meanwhile, BC lost to FSU

uhhh. Wake Forest.
We played poorly against Wake and got a little lucky. That was a very close game in reality. Cold weather game against a ground and pound opponent is likely tough for this team.

Id be surprised if BC isnt favored here. I dont like this game at all. They have the recipe thats given us fits in the past. Offensively they run the ball well and their qb is a dual threat qb. Defensively they are stout with a premier pass rusher.

Is there a chance Dungey can play? TD looked a bit like a freshman on Saturday. Would be great having ED closing out his senior year with some broken field magic.

ND lite is the right word for BC. I think this game will come to, ironically, the weather. It can get windy in Alumni and i think that is advantage BC. ND set up the blue print by jamming the receivers and daring us to beat them vertically to the sidelines. They have pass rushers who can get to the QB.

This will be a close game but we need good weather to get the passing game going to mix it up against BC.

High of 44 on tap for Saturday with wind at 9 MPH.

BC has been awful the last two weeks. Does that factor into your consideration of this game?

You make a great point. 1000% I hope I am wrong. Just seems like a tough match up - given all the variables (including an injured ED). I really, really, really want a win over BC and a 9-3 season.

Variables have shifted a bit, I think. They are less potent than they were and have faded a bunch. Dillon is hurt. Brown is up and down. Their D can be formidable - but so can our O.

Weather is shifting a bit. Glad we are playing at noon. Looks like a storm front is moving in on Saturday. (Which would be very bad for us)

I do too. Both teams are reeling a little bit, but I'm not necessarily sure the team is reeling. Our feelings are compouded as a fan base because we're miserable in light of the absolute awful 3 days we just lived through. I hope Eric can come back and if he isn't we need FSU/UNC Tommy, though I don't think BC's D line will dominate the way ND did.

If the weather holds we'll be fine. Forecasted partly cloudy and 44. Game is on turf.

Cold rain advantage goes to the home team imo.

Two years ago I was at the game at Chestnut Hill (the Dungey sideline fight game). It was cold, rainy and miserable. It's also the last away game we won prior to Wake Forest this year.

Conventional wisdom says iffy weather hurts the Dome team. It does. But it’s starting to become overstated. We beat them in rainy weather 2 years ago.

I’m less worried about Dillon than I was in the beginning of the year. He’s dinged up. I’ll take ED or TD passing in our system over Brown no matter the weather.
