Mess at Baylor continues to smell

I think the Cuse community should prepare to see HCDB name on every list of possible permanent replacements.

Its a heck of a job to jump into. QB and skill player pipeline is completely loaded for the future. Going to lose the #2 QB in the country in the '17 class in the next few hours though.

I think Baylor will open the checkbook. And, he hasn't been here for long. And the guy who hired him bailed on him.

On the other hand, he will have important input into naming his next boss (good move, Chancellor).

Keep your fingers crossed.

Imagine Herman and Morris are at the top of that list. Babers is multiple tiers below them, not sure having ties to the program when a lot of this stuff went down is a positive thing.

Let's hope Babers isn't on the list. Phil Montgomery hopefully higher up. Why wouldn't you go after a guy who can continue using the same system. Ugh. Drama at cuse is constant.

when police departments don't do their jobs, criminals respond to those incentives

shame on the Waco PD

You think accusations alone should be enough to kick a guy off the team...? Scary that people think this way nowadays.
But it probably should be enough to suspend him pending the outcome of the investigation.

If I was a coach, I wouldn't want to go near Baylor with a 50 foot pole... This is on the level of Penn State. The AD should have been fired as well. Disgusting to see this.

Also, since Babers was there in that time period, I think he'd automatically be disqualified from any coaching search. I sincerely hope he was not involved, and if asked about it I hope he denounces sexual assault.

I wonder if Dana Holgorsen would be open to jump ship. I'm pretty sure he's worn out his welcome in Morgantown.

Agree completely about Babers. I don't forsee them bringing in anyone with Briles ties.

I still hate that based on an allegation(s). I get it in order for the university to save face but I really get fearful of the PC culture turning innocent until proven guilty into guilty until proven innocent.

Sounds like there will be a lawsuit and settlement coming up for the accusers.

If I'm Baylor and the allegations hold then I'd want all those with knowledge who didn't act to be jettisoned. Until then, some will have to be placed on leave. A university can't afford to arrogantly be all-in on their people. If things were to blow up after such a gamble ...

When you read the timeline when a lot of these events happened it was right around when the NCAA backtracked the penalties against Penn St. publicly as rumors were being floated around that they might months before the actual announcement.

What the NCAA was in effect allow stuff of this nature to go unreported because a major deterrence was just taken away. Why report and investigate this stuff when a major serial pedophile schools penalty was just reduced big time.
Again winning game trumps all else in this society

You know they did have a few separate cases in front of hometown juries where they were actually found guilty of rape. One even got 20 years.....

Not to be crass but we want these guys released from their NLI. We're one of the few P5 programs still having open slots and we run the same system on both sides of the ball. I feel gross for typing this but this is how programs are built in this claw to the top buisness of CFB.

Ever wonder if the freeze option would have worked with Ray Rice? Any run play would have worked. Ever wonder if Ray Rice would have been a better person? Give these guys an opportunity in a better (God I hope so) environment.
