Miami early line: +10

I have been waiting for revenge against Miami since the 1992 loss to them
I was there watching them strutting themselves to the fans like we were lucky to breathe their air.
and to lose by six as time expired as Chris gedney just missed getting in the end zone.
it may be history but I never forgot their arrogance and our heartbreak.
it was my first game in the dome. Been a season ticket holder since 1997.
i say it is time to punch them in the mouth and send Dabos Clemson to the ACC championship and shatter Miamis dreams.

ACC refs would love to get Clemson in the title game over Miami.
but would they help a Yankee team?

the twins' clock management on that final drive was horrific.

Miami is more of a northern team than a southern team. Not in tobacco road. Miami is made of many northerners. A Big East team. It's not the same thing as the "original ACC teams".

Last five games Miami is 1-4 against the spread and we are 4-1

The 10.5 line when home field advantage is added in puts us as two touchdown dogs at home.

Miami has been a dominant fourth quarter team.

Any chance we have we will need to be winning by double digits headed into the fourth

I worked at channel 3 back then and was logging the game (on paper) sitting alone in the sports room yelling updates to Wayne Mahar who was sitting in the weather room down the hall. When Gedney caught the pass he and i were literally hugging each other like we were walking through a haunted house as the ball was in the air Prior to the catch.

If we going into a gun fight, you can’t do much better than McCord.

We need to feed OG and Meeks the ball. These guys are used to Miami level physicality.

This one gets the hair on my arms to stand.

92,94,98 I enjoyed all of those fights. As I’ve said many times my high water mark noise wise at the dome was when Dan Conley intercepted a pass in the 94 game. I also was still baked from the phish show prior night at the war memorial so sensory issues

The weekapaug that night had a great “can’t you hear me knockin” jam. And a delicious loving cup encore I think.

Do you remember a guy named Buddy who used to do camerawork? He might’ve been after your time.

So what was GTech’s recipe to win? Did anyone see that game?

I'm liking how the bulletin board material is lining up for Fran this week. No college gameday, no ACC huddle crew, no top 25 ranking, 10.5 point underdogs at home

Oh I remember it very well. I had seen the Gamehenge show that July at Great Woods in the 8th row and my brain blew.

This Phish-icane weekend still stands the test of time for me.

I don't think their HC is all that great, so they are prone to an upset. They will be hearing about playoffs and ACC CG all week plus Thanksgiving will give them plenty of distractions. We should have a chip on our shoulder.

That being said i think we will have a hard time keeping them under their avg of 40.5 points vs P4 teams. We are going to need to turn them over.

I do think we can put up points, but all season long we have left points on the field. We can't have that this game. Where TDs turn to FGs, or FGs turn to no points.

Unlike some of the recent dreadful offenses at least this team has the ability to match Miami score for score. Punchers chance.

once Miami got into the schedule

VT had 400 yds
Cal had 370
Lou 450
Duke 400
Gt 370

they allowed 34-38-45-31-28 to the teams with a pulse

We are better than any of them except Lou makes explosive plays more often

we gained more yds on GT than Miami did and scored more
Miami did better vs Cal on offense though they allowed more than we did

we had 400 and 38 vs VT miami had 500 and 38.

it can be done. but we need those mistakes which we have not gotten many of this year.

The way we played the last 2 weeks we should have been in the 40s. Lets see them finish that off finally

I think you are recalling the '92 Conley INT. Miami drove down the field on their first drive and Dan got the INT at the goal line. That is second loudest I have ever heard the Dome (Owens 2 Pt conversion in '87 is #1)
