Holding would be prior to the tip. PI is after. However looking at the replay it looked like the hold was after or at least concurrent to the tip.

Holding needs to be before the pass not tip

You can hold all you want after the ball is tipped. Had he held him before the tip then yes the hold negates the tip. However the hold came at the same time it was tipped going off those replays. Bad call.

I think it’s before the ball is thrown, not when it’s tipped. Not that it matters, fractions of a second. But the qb throwing the ball is what makes PI possible.

Yes I know. But he was technically holding onto the jersey which is why I said hold. Holding the penalty is when the QB still has the ball. The holding and pulling of jersey should have been PI and therefore negated by the tip.
