Miami Postgame Thoughts

It just feels like we’re watching the same game over and over and…..

Defense bows its neck (for the most part, certainly not Duke) but eventually wears down after repeated 3 and outs or occasionally 6 and outs.

The offense is GRob-esque.

But the good news is the overall talent level is far different.

You hope the talent is different all things considered. The talent has been upgraded but with coaching at coordinator and position level it won’t make a shido bit of difference . You will be a poor mans’s Miami Hurricane’s which ain’t all that good. You gotta develop and coach and I dont think this staff can do it as constructed. Fran certainly can’t

Ricky showed slight improvement vs Miami but most have seen enough. The offense doesn't score with him under center. Filardi comes in (in garbage time) and shows that he can in fact throw the ball and gets his first passing TD. Filardi should get first team reps in practice and start.
Nahhhh he was up against the Miami walk ons

If Filardi continues on his upward trajectory, he should start the next game after the bye week. For sure, this version would be better than Collins.

Fran was posturing for the recruits in attendance. The whole game plan had that in mind. Lose, but talk about DART and family on TV. And yell at Mario.
If true it is some real bush league stuff.

Fran said this week that the plan was to redshirt Carney and he has one game left that he can play in. He'll be back most likely and could be the backup to Angeli.
Well that one series of hand offs last week to burn a fame doesn't really add up to that plan

Brown is 13-12 after 2 seasons, I am figuring he gets outcoached by O'Brien and we lose to BC in a close one to finish in last place in the ACC. I guess 10-3, 3-9 is better than the 6.5 wins, 6 losses average. I am not advocating for anything but Babers got fired for not winning 7 games. It took Babers 2 1/2 years to win 13, it's taken Brown 2 years. Both are mediocrity at its finest.
