cbb barely registers as a major sport any more. It’s almost like saying we’re a lacrosse school.

In several instances Collin’s dropped back to pass and the pocket went with him. I counted two seconds and there was already no space to step into a throw. Not that it would have been an accurate throw…

Brown is 13-12 after 2 seasons, I am figuring he gets outcoached by O'Brien and we lose to BC in a close one to finish in last place in the ACC. I guess 10-3, 3-9 is better than the 6.5 wins, 6 losses average. I am not advocating for anything but Babers got fired for not winning 7 games. It took Babers 2 1/2 years to win 13, it's taken Brown 2 years. Both are mediocrity at its finest.

If Angeli was healthy I’d bet Cuse would be around 7 wins this season. These opponents have all been beatable.

The offensive line is missing 3 of their top 6 guys. Ferguson and Collins are SU most experienced and highly graded lineman. Miller was the backup center. Are people really surprised they struggled against that Miami defensive line, with two all league pash rushers?

I agree that CBB has lost some of its luster and prestige over the past 20-30 years, but come on now, it's still an order of magnitude more popular than lacrosse in every way.

ND is a useless game as well. First start at home would make sense. Fidali got his first start at home against a terrible team I say give Carney the same treatment.

BC IMO is the bigger useless game. With ND you have a chance to look functional on national TV, yes BC is more winnable but what difference is 4 vs 3 Ws?

If Carney wins as QB1 for ND and plays decent, there is always a chance he decides to play vs BC. Especially since he can RS next year under Angeli. If he is leaving the don’t play him at all.

Same with Filardi. If he plays decent vs ND why go to Carney for BC?

it was to embarrass Syracuse and Brown and it did. Brown shouldn't complain about it, if he didn't like it his defense should have stopped it. Reminds me of Shafer yelling across the field at Swinney when Clemson was calling timeouts and trying to score again before halftime when the Tigers were already up big.

I don’t think it was to embarrass him. I assume the linemen is a team guy and they wanted to give him a chance to make a play in a meaningless game

I’m a football guy too… I was born in 88 so I saw mcnabbs era quite well and I think freeney was the best player we’ve ever had but at a position that’s less obvious… but I am still optimistic about Fran

If we were having this conversation 60 years ago when those legends played, I would agree with you that we are a football school.

Can’t assume teams play us the same way and effort. I think we win one of the road games and two of the home games. So 6-4 right now heading to 7-5 (5-3). That is a good season given the schedule.
